There’s no doubt the world is a better place because of the United States. America’s role as the world’s policeman has ensured the security of the Earth for the last sixty years. America goes where angels fear to tread. Case in point: the recent arrest of Sepp Blatter, the head of FIFA, an organization everyone knew was corrupt, for tax crimes. It took the US, the nation that arguably cares the least about soccer, to put an end to Blatter’s reign of corruption.

However, not everyone welcomes the righteous thunder of America. In response to Blatter’s arrest, Vladimir Markin, spokesman for Russia’s official Investigation Committee, has called for an investigation regarding a classic American triumph. Markin is now demanding an investigation into what happened as to the original footage of the first Moon landing, which NASA claims to have destroyed in 2009, and the whereabouts of Moon rocks brought back by American expeditions.

Correction: Blatter wasn't arrested, but top FIFA officials were arrested in May. Apologies for the error.

More like Blattermir Markin amirite?

An international investigation could help solve the mystery of the disappearance of film footage from the original moon landing in 1969

Original film? Does he actually think astronauts took film cameras to the moon?

In 1969 are you sure there was any other kind?

They used cathode ray tube TV cameras to a send video signals back to earth. The first landing was a live broadcast.

EDIT: Thus no physical original film exists. Just old degraded tapes and copies.

So... perhaps it was a good idea to record it on Earth, on a film camera?

Apollo footage was recorded directly to computer tape storage. NASA had a copy of high-quality footage of Apollo 11 which was unfortunately erased at some point to make room for more data. I assume that's the missing "film" he's talking about?

:lmao:

I'm not going to read the OPs if you keep titling threads like this. It's funny in an ironic way maybe once.
What is wrong with still fighting the so-called Cold War, while hero worshiping those who nearly sent us to nuclear Armageddon merely because they could become richer getting welfare from the American taxpayers?

"God help this country when someone sits in this chair who doesn't know the military as well as I do." Dwight Eisenhower

So, apart from the other guff, when was Blatter arrested ?

Source ?

My mistake. I misremembered what occurred.

Top FIFA officials, other than Blatter, were arrested in May under instruction from US justice and tax agencies.

You got one thing right though, about America acting as the world's policeman.

Problem is, they are acting like American policemen, which could be why so many unarmed innocents are dying without being counted.

BURRRRRN :run::rockon:

Someone should ask the victims of Team America:World Police if they are offended yet. It isn't quite clear based on the limited number of asymmetrical attacks so far.

From the little I know about this I think it's great. FIFA is awful. Nice to see DOJ attacking some more white collar crime.

+1 fake upvote since we don't have a real upvote system.

If only they didn't let all those bankers off the hook via statute of limitations.

At least they seem to be able to play the game with good sportsmanship for the most part while rarely diving.
