Your first BNW game

Huge map
All new Civs
Prince
Continents
Normal speed
Sweden (give congress a spin.)
Add France, and Atilla because it's been far too long.

Personally I can't imagine that Japan will be one of the changed civs, simply because it's UA is so purely simple and not involved with the mechanics changes we know are coming. That said, with the greater focus on the modern age, Zeroes will hopefully be more useful, and that's reason enough to choose them.

My first game will be with the 8th civ they reveal and I'm going to try for a Science Victory. I'll probably choose a 5 million year old world with high sealevels. I think I'll choose the Order Ideology and I'll likely choose the Godess of the Sea Pantheon. And I'll move my initial Settlers 1 tile east, but I'll settle my second city somewhere to the south.

Why do you do the thing with the settler?

I'm considering playing as Polynesia in a 10 civ's game... this way I'll see how the 9 new AI leaders talk and behave, I'll fund World Congress...
Anyway for a first game I prefer a peaceful/defensive civ. It's better to discover the new mechanics, see how AIs use them...

He's being silly, making fun of the rest of us for having such detailed plans.

Well, not making fun of "the rest of [you]" as much as making fun of the thread itself. It just seems a little too soon for a thread like this since there's still way too much information we don't know yet. Such as the 4 remaining civs, the Ideology tenets, if there will be any new map scripts, etc.

And silly is my middle name. I just choose to spell it Allen. That's how silly I am. :crazyeye:

That's a good idea, I may have to steal it. I was going to do a 9 new civ hotseat to try them all but I do want to see the leader screens etc.

Oh don't worry, I think we totally deserve to be teased a little.

-Duel map
-pangea
-settler difficulty
-10 civs
Me: Random
AI: New civs
-3d settings.

Plan: Meet all 9 new civs as fast as possible, check out the leader-screens. Declare war on all 9 leaders just to see their faces.

Then restarting steam without 3d, and make a new game.

-Standard map
-Continents plus (city states modded for normal map placement)
- 9 civs
-Me: Portugal (or Zulu) so far
-AI: The remaining new civs.
1-2 levels down from normal difficulty (king/emperor somewhere)

I'm going to play Arabia first, because it's abilities should complement the new game mechanics well in a way I already know how to use, making it easier to learn the new stuff. Besides, strangely I have never played Arabia.

You never have to worry about money which makes me wonder if Arabia will get a UA change. If not they will be bathing, eating and breathing gold.
