Your first BNW game

What game setup are people planning to use for their first BNW game?

I'm tempted by a huge continents map with all the new civs. Probably drop down to Immortal till I get used to the new mechanics. I'm reckoning I'll pick Assyria, try for a good bit of war war on the way to shooting for a science victory.

Although... maybe the canonical game (pangea, deity, all standard settings, random leaders) is the "right" thing to do...

Probably France, but will choose all the other new civs to see their leaders screens, etc.

I'm divided between the desire to play with Brazil and to interact with Pedro II (don't like to put equal civs in my games)

Well... I'm Brazilian, it is almost a duty to test Brazil first.

First I'll play as France or another vanilla/G&K civ that was remade against all the BNW civs.

Then, I'll try out each of the BNW civs, Portugal first. (unless Italy makes it!)

While starting with France might have made sense, I don't want to do Cultural first. So my plan is to play as Assyria on a Standard map with all 9 new civs. This might change depending on if any other civs show up. But I want to go conquest so my guess is either Assyria or Zulu.

Of course, I basically answered this in the last thread.

If I play a vanilla civ it be China because I like their UA, UU, and UB. the +2 gold and 1 less upkeep from their UB is going amazing because there is going to be so little gold. I might play Assyria cause they are most likely going to be OP. I might play Poland if the policies they get are actually free.

Obviously depending on the civs we don't know about (if Italy/Papal States/Florence/Whatever we call it is in there that throws everything off) but I'm imagining:

Prince
Standard size
All new civs
Small continents
Portugal

I like naval maps, Brazil sounds like it'll be fun but the UA is also more passive than what I want for my first game, and Assyria is more early-rush than I'm usually into, so they'll have to come next, once I'm more into how everything new works.

I'll probably play as either Brazil or France to take advantage of the new culture system. Probably on Settle/Chiefton/Warlord with 3 other Civs on Pangaea just to give me a chance to understand the strategy. And I'll definitely be trying for a cultural victory.

I will play as Poland and the rest will hinge on how I feel that day.

I'll just continue playing as one of the top tier civs. Provided they don't nerf range units then England, China, Arabia, Mongolia will still dominate the game in multiplayer.

I have a feeling America will get a boost or remake in their UA to incorporate Tourism or trade (maybe both). So I will probably play them first, if not the unnamed Native civ. On Earth/Prince/Standard.
