What, in your personal opinion, is the greatest accomplishment thus far in your life?

Graduating after 8 years of hard work? Making it to the six digit income range and amassing wealth? Fathering great children and finding a wonderful spouse? Something else entirely?

I'm only 17, so life is sure to have many accomplishments greater than what I've done. As has been proven by how conquering a boss battle may seem great when you're younger but quickly loses its luster as you age. That 100 dollar bill seems great when a small child but quickly fades into obscurity come adulthood.

My greatest accomplishments, I think, are:

1. Graduating high school with mostly As, some Bs, earning a good diploma and some scholarships
2. Treating my parents with the love and respect they deserve after doing so much for me
3. Day-trading with a gain of 0.7%-1% three days in a row; three because any more would cause the account to get locked; there's also the 2% profit earned by short-term trading in the past three weeks

Running up Serles in 40 minutes.
But also my D.Phil. thesis, other hiking exploits, a 4-minute mile and not losing my temper with a certain ex-girlfriend.

Learning to walk, that was some achievement. I mean, nowadays I do it all the time, but back then, wow! You never forget it though, it's like riding a bicycle.

You must be looking forward to the new Sega title, 'Sonic the Hedge Fund Manager'.

I'm an Air Traffic Controller... I'm a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force... take your pick I'd say the Controller is more of an accomplishment.

a 4-minute mile

Good lord! How fast did you have to move to do that?!

I haven't accomplished anything.

I doubt that; you surely have accomplished something. Then again, you're more humble than you should be.

You're a good artist. :) That's an accomplishment!

I dunno how to ride a bicycle so that in itself would be an accomplishment to me...

Join Sonic and his investors as they attempt to defeat the armies of evil regulations created by the megalomaniac Dr. SECman!

Is a Senior Airman a pilot? If so, I'd consider that the greater accomplishment. Not too many can boast they know how to fly!

...well, without crashing into the pavement below after jumping of course.

Heck no... people really want to be pilots? Why? Senior Airman is an enlisted rank kind of like Corporal for the Army. I would much rather control 30 planes at once then just one of them. ATC FTW!!!!!!

I'm pretty damn impressed by the 4 min mile. I've never gone faster than 6, and I haven't broken 6:30 in about 6 years.

I had sex a couple of times.

Really, I think of that as an accomplishment. I'm still young!

Also, I made an album this summer.

- 4:30 mile (not quite as impressive as Brighteye's 4 minutes, but whatevs)
- Some random lacrosse skills I've improved upon
- Running 28:30 for an 8 K my sophmore year of college. That was my second year ever of running cross country, plus I did it with crazy asthma and not being allowed to practice with the team
- Won state championship in 4x800m Indoor Track event in highschool for Maryland

Freeing myself from religion, culture, and all other tyrants of the mind and body.
Graduating Summa cum Laude from my university after unremarkable careers in high school and junior college.

Posting in the same thread as the world's first typing sperm.

Well, I only ran 3.59 once. And nowadays I'd be more like 4.20, if that. But I'm still proud of having done it. Not that athletic achievements really mean much outside of school and university, unless you're a professional.
Of course, employers don't seem to think that a doctorate means much either.
