My pets are my friends. There is my Best Friend Autumn, and then there is my Good Buddy Wookie. Then there are the chickens who have suprised me with their depth of personality and community sense along with intelligence. I have not yet named the chickens; I guess this is because I am still prejudiced against them despite just how they have surprised me. Autumn my best friend is named such due to her coloring. Wookie is so named due to the fact that he talks like a Wookie such as a Wookie talks like Chewbacca does in the movie series "Star Wars". From all the experiances I've had with domesticated animals along with wild animals I must say that it is the human interaction which dicates just how wise our 'pets' will be. Just like children... if you treat them dumb then dumb they will be. If you treat them as entities to be respected, then their full personalities and intelligence will be revealed to you. From there you can learn more....

The Chickens when they were young...

I have one cat. And that centipede I found the other day might still be living here, too, provided the cat didn't eat it.

Hehe regarding your centipede Quintillus... I have a big, black, hairy, scary spider which I have been leaving alone in a corner of my basement appartment for some time now. It serves me well to catch any stray flies, but I also loathe to exterminate it for some reason. THough I have murdered many a spider in my day. But still I hope it takes a hike outside and gets munched by the chickens!

Even so its become somewhat of a friend lol. I check his position every time I venture to that
region and I am comforted when I see it (hehe likely because I know exactly where the beast is)

i'm suprised you don't have little brother/sister...i have a little brother and all he does is bounce around the house

I dont know who you directed this to but since my post was directly above yours....

I have two little sisters and a little brother. I was old enough to help raise them, and its still not over it seems. Now they are grown. And now I have two nephews and a niece bouncing off the walls. And now instead of three kids to pick up after, I now pick up after five :crazyeye: (one sister lives outta state ~ the responsible one). But with a mother who creates far more disorder than all of the kids combined, and then with an elderly aunt who cannot legally take care of herself, I really look after 7 kids. Lucky my father and I share this family burden. The three dogs, two cats and two chickens are the easy part.

Yeah, I figured "spouse" was enough of a joke option. Adding younger sibling was kind of overkill.

Do you know of any other cool fish?
That depends on what you mean by cool. If you could give me more info I might be able to tell you.

I have a dog (part black lab, part German Shephard), two cats (a gray persian and a black-and-white cat) and a plant.

Though the plant will probably not last long. Somehow I always water plants either too much or not enough and they die on me sooner or later :(

I, or rather my girlfriend has a cat named Harriet but is called Missy.

The cat is officially my girlfriends but likes me better and constantly wants to sleep next to my stomach under my blanket. That is now a problem for me because she (the cat) is a Tick dispenser that right now brings in a tick a day.
