Cats and Kittens

Cats can have so many medical and psychological issues, just like humans. Some of my pets, over the years, had things going on that I'd never guessed they could. My hat is off to any cat who makes it to 19.

Maddy was 17 years, 2 months, 4 days, and in a couple of hours it will be a week since she died. Someone from the crematorium brought her ashes back to me last night.
Aww. I remember last year when our youngest's came back, I broke down all over again. I still pet his box whenever I walk by the bookshelf.

:(

Dexter's having his 14th adoption anniversary in December.

He still bounces around, jumps etc. Not sure how old he is SPCA estimated 1-2 and that was in 2010.

Still chases red dot and he seems in great shape for a 15-16 yo kitteh.

He has slowed down though sleeps a lot and doesn't play for long.

Dexter too. Honorary CFC member. Feels like I know more about him than the in-laws 😂
Dexyer is currently making biscuits on my legs.

Being a solo kitten he's abstaining to get into and on the bed.

When Ember was around he wasn't allowed.

TV Dexter was running when we adopted him.

Very sorry to hear about this. I saw your sig and went looking for a post about it. I've been luck to have a couple of cats who made it into their twenties, but 19 and 17 are both pretty good innings. I'm glad you gave her a happy home and she brought you joy and love.

I was puppy sitting this past weekend for my daughter's new dog, and I noticed one of my cats sitting in the doorway judging me quite harshly:

She was ailing badly at the end. A vet came and we put her down while she was sitting quietly in the sun on our patio.
