Great!! Been looking forward to this and I have a couple of hours to spare today so lets watch "TMIT lets play civ 4" :)

Watching now and leaving comments on YT. Signed up for an account especially to do so. :thanx:

Sweet, will watch today, enjoyed the previous ones. Liking the improved sound/picture quality here too!

I'm glad you didn't take the step to Deity, just to show a win game.

Your skills and tactics are great, I might turn on those pesky yokels again if you convince me enough.

No huts and events are already there, so I just need to learn about your barb protection.

But of course, on Immortal, you wouldn't let us glare at your glory at a loss?

Seriously, your previous games shows a risk-taker and a master of sorting out the economics, I will certainly check it out. :)

I DO lose at immortal but win more often than not.

I'm torn between whether doing a video is harder or easier. Certainly, it's harder to talk and still think about what I'm doing, but after each segment I have to stop playing while cam studio compresses audio. This FORCES me to stop temporarily (usually for 2-4 minutes), and gives me the opportunity to consider alternatives and to review my strategy. I wonder if my overall strategy and play aren't artificially strengthened by the combination of extra review time and the fact that I like the pressure, even as my micro obviously suffers (and it's not hot to start out).

Nice. The video quality seemed to improve from episod 5 or so, did you find a useful switch in the recording software? :)

Encoding. The ones I split are actually a little higher quality than the ones that were just encoded straight from AVI, because I got moviemaker to put them in 720p HD (could go higher but takes too long). Only problem is that moviemaker doesn't want to do HD and still keep 4:3 aspect.

The others lose some crispness becoming mp4 files but not too bad. I might take the time to learn all the settings there before doing my next LP but I wanted this one up ASAP since it'd been so long.

Without tiles on is fine btw. The yields show where the tiles are, right?

In the second vid, you have a workboat on hold waiting for the border pop. Your capitol works a grass mine waiting for the second settler. You would get more commerce using the workboat for the last clam while working that. It is the same for producing the settler but it gives bonus commerce.

Did you intend to play like that or did you made a mistake?

creative and expansive

good job

i will have to figure a way to beat u tube players in their own videos now

venn diagrams and coding may be the key.

Fun to watch :) A few comments:

- I'm surprised you didn't go agri and worker first and just road a few tiles while waiting for AH.
- Your lucky barbs didn't hit harder sooner.
- Woodsman is much better than combat!
- Nice blocking of Musa and Willem. I have only seen the first 7 parts, but I bet getting those 4 blocker cities up won you the game. The land you have available is just huge.

Nice to see how one of your games plays out.

Woodsmen is better int he woods... There was not way of telling how much flatlands there would be. CombatI helps on flatlands as well.

Besides, at that point there were mainly animals. Combat I + woods give you good odds against that as well. I would prefer woodsman too, but there is something to say for combat I.

The barbs did not hit hard sooner because TMIT spawnbusted rather well. There were quite a few barbs that were not a problem because of the positioning of the warriors and the number of them. I saw little indication that luck had a lot to do with it.

I didn't even notice, so you can count it as a mistake .

When warring Willem he dragged MM in the war as well. Was it not wise to ask MM for maybe 10 gold so you two would have a peace treaty? That way you get less coastal pillaging and Willem can not drag him into the war even if he wanted to.

I lolled at you laughing when the nukes go off. A little too enthouastic maybe, but it is fun. :D

Yes, it was a gaffe not to beg 1 gold from mali. Believe it or not, one can even make an ARROGANT DEMAND on a more powerful civ and still get the 10 turn treaty (the civ gives the 1 gold very often for some reason), so I really should have done it. I guess I just associated culture with crappy tech (relative to other AI at least) and wasn't paying attention.

A 2 front war was probably more exciting for the viewers though, since I got away with it X_X.

It was exciting. :D

Btw, part 22 seems to be missing. I cannot seem to find it at least.
