ZPNESVI: Nesse, the Chosen City

Well my MSN is perpetually broken. I got in like one productive conversation last night, and now I can't log in again.

Shipbuilders are very needed for Alya plans for a Nesse fleet...

MSN is great, so is AIM.

ALYA orders
1. Continue being merchants and trade in the city and out of it.
2. Build up a medium-large fleet of large ships. send 2 ships to Nabar to pursue them to open some trade. Send rest of fleet through Nyud Kingdom ports to trade and then to Zantis and then northward on a merchant adventure to trade with anything north there. Use my diplomatic skill to pursue the northerners to at least somewhat trade with me if they at start do not want too.
3. Continue building and supporting the new neighborhoods (from now I'll call it outer Nesse). Encourage new joiners to the clan.
4. Support the whole water pipes and stuff build up and the building of the new walls.
5. Work with watchman and Ninticus to get rid of criminals among the Alya. Remind all we are law abiding people - while opposed to the gate tolls we are not going to be criminals instead!
6. Send diplomatic messengers to golden barbs and cyrians if moderator tells me to - do diplomacy according to the votes in the senate.
7. Support farmlands in the outlands and encourage farmers to join the Alya clan in return for support in building houses and planting larger better farms.

I'll also OM this now

that's cool. that would give me a lot more leeway. we would be the crew and captians of the ship, but the ship would be owned by them and their merchents would handle the transactions. we simply get them there and maintain the ships (for now). dose that sound like a good Idea?

hmm, could I have the clan include the shipbuilders also? or would that be stretching it to much?

@TerrisH I am happy with that, I imagine you'd need shipbuilders to repair the ships anyway. But the ships are still fairly basic, not like the funky galleys that the Sea Kingdom has.

@Daft, I'm not entirely happy with the idea that terrish basically "steals" part of my clan/family away from me under his own influence... I'm not entirely sure why he even wants to play such position considering I'm ordering if ships are built and where they will go. He'd just sit on there doing nothing.

Drezden orders:
Spoiler :
Most importantly, finish the fortification of the lodge and the placement of the supplemental traps in the forests. Also continue the work with the Fiddlers to make fire-resistant woods. Send a couple veteran axmen and some younger axmen to aid the Trade Federation patrols of the Outlands. Send one Drezden to Uuta to recruit young people to bolster our numbers. The high volume of lumber constantly being requested is greater than our numbers can handle, so recruit the clanless \and anyone else willing to pledge allegiance to the lodge in exchange for comfort and safety. If any lumber requests are made, I may add more orders soon.

Sorry I missed your post earlier, erez. Addendum to orders for the Drezden: Supply Alya with lumber. Unfortunately, the Drezden do not feel that they can adequately supply anyone else, for this cycle, any other lumber needs will have to be taken up with other woodfolk or you can PM me to arrange something.

Orders for House Ìademos:

Overall: Continue to diversify the family's portfolio into financial investments and landowning, in addition to contract work for the Senate and the Elites. Continue to amass prestige, and improve Iaeda.

Major Actions:

Ensure that the trading expedition completes its' mission safely. With the new trading arrangements with the Boars and the Rams, continue to support sending smaller groups of merchants through the southern lands, paying the appropriate tributes along the way. Continue to cultivate a personal friendship between the Boar Chieftain and the Ìademos.

With the Dicchus further engaged in politics, continue to take more responsibility over their lending business. Attempt to make it a more profitable business, with major loans to Elites and the Senate to support their major projects (such as shipping and weapons for the army) over shortchanging average Nessers. Continue recordkeeping work for the Ninticus at the gates as well.

Charge appropriate customs fees on the new shipping by the Alya, Lucan, and others, and use these fees to restore the funds of House Iademos, in addition to harvests from Iaeda, our existing contract arrangements, and the expected success of the caravan.

Most importantly, work on the improvement of Iaeda. Spend money for the construction of a high stone wall and guard-towers, and plan the foundations for a future citadel. Iaeda will be an efficiently run city, unlike the original Nesse, with a coherent street plan. Built on a hill, the city should have good defense. Lure Nessers from the city with the promise of (much) lower taxes, which despite being lower will still enrich our Family to higher levels of wealth. If the Fire Clan sends soldiers, we will house them. Either way, purchase equipment for a militia garrison, mostly composed of well-trained bowmen and Ìademos retainers.

Minor Actions:

According to the Senate, aid in the codification of Nesse Law, and inscribe the main tenets of the law on a tablet of pure marble, including the rights of Nesse citizens and the supremacy of the Senate. Build a statue of Laban Ìademos, original Scribe of the Law, (who determined many of the rules of the modern Senate and is believed to have proposed the Moderator) to be placed in a rebuilt area of Old Nesse, with the tablets. Send scribes to aid the re-planning of the city with schematics and the like. Cooperate with the Fiddlers in designing a scientific notation system.

Justo Clan Orders
If searches on Justo Clan fishing vessels are not ceased then the Justo Clan will look to build its own minor fishing port/village outside of Nesse. This will be built South West of Nesse. This will benefit our fisherman by ensuring we do not need to pay costly tolls on entering Nesse and are not bogged down by unnecessary searches. If the people of Nesse desire fish to continue to sustain them they can come to us.

If searches are canceled the Justo Clan will spend part of its wealth on creating better and more reliable ships. We will also seek to expand the size of our fishing fleet.

On land the Justo Clans Shepherds will continue to expand the size of our flocks by moving onto new pasture lands.

If any barbarians or foreign entity attacks the Outlands the Justo Clan will send its war bands to combat the invaders.

Thanks :salute:

@andis ah I probably should have said, I imagine TerrisH will be a new development on your existing shipbuilding effots, not a replacement exactly. But if you want to freeze him out then you can, and he will have to find something else to do.

@bestrfcplayer you currently have a few dozen fighters, no boats, and no catapults. And no allies. You can try to swim across and attack if you really want :)
