Oh yes, Ohwell, I killed your commando that was on its way to steal Axis techs.
I have been following this game and knew it was getting to the boring tedious stages. But, wow, that's a pretty bold thing to do.
When exactly did you start cheating? How far did you go with the cheating? Were you hex editing your money, or just movement of troops, or what?

Last 2 turns I:
* gave my capital ships greater movement
* let all the eastsea cities finish their capital ships
* increased the movement of Panzer IV
* lowered the price for industrial estate

Aha, I was wondering about the ships, since it would be tedious to do "create unit" and then give them homes, but I forgot about the rules file.
I'm not really mad, and I can trust you that you weren't cheating when you actually won, only when it got boring. If you were cheating earlier, I would have caught ya.
Anyone got any secret stuff to give out for a post-game talk?

I could tell he was bored when I saw what he did with his ships in the North Sea.

Yeah, well I had bribed a Pz IV in MY territory with that very commando...
And your security was obviously horrible with me having stolen 2 other techs already
I didn't think the game was getting tedious, I was actually gearing up for a sneak attack!

Oh, and I could allow you to stay if you let me liberate all my lost cities PLUS half of Poland, just how it was supposed to be.
But, if Darius disagrees, we might have to scrap this game because it is too far in to find a replacement I would think.

damnit...hate it when that happens. What techs did you steal? And the Panzer IV was not in your territory.

And it isn't our fault that they wished to become a part of our glorious nation I got Ground Attack, from Ploesti, and Medium Chasiss I believe, from Kiev.
And if it is the case that Darius agrees, you disband all units in front line Cities (ie Kiev, Minsk, Smolensk, Leningrad) but you can retreat the rest.

Even I don't think the giving back of cities is necessary, even though it's in my best interest. I just say we continue the game from the exact turn where willem began to change the rules file, which may be a ways back, I dunno. I have no problem with him staying for such a continuation either, but he might not want to as indeed it would be kinda boring for him.
If indeed we let him but he didn't want to, there could always be creative ways to continue the game from the pre-cheat point, such as a new player taking the axis, or one of us two taking the Axis and the other playing both allied civs, or somesuch. This game isn't really worth scrapping since minus cheating the Allies and Soviets just might have a chance, or if not it would still be good to see it through for the sake of completeness.

It would be neat to miraculously win against the Axis after they've done so well, but I actually think you would win anyway. Both of the allied civs have no techs, and no armies at that, but who knows what could happen. Let's wait for willem's response of course though.

Yeah that was this one, I thought I remembered you (other than from the PreWWI game of course). I just thought you had gotten it to work since then. Are you totally sure you can't get it to work?
If you can get other scenarios to work you should be able to get this one to work. There's nothing special about the files or anything. We'll definately be willing to go through the step-by-step process to try and get it working for you.

Willem, I know you mentioned that your memory has been a bit fuzzy about when and where you changed the file, but could you try and tell us which turn any sort of cheating began? Then we know from where to begin with Rhodry (he got it to work now). You might want to post the same on the other ZWK threads so that your subs can get going.
