    It's kind of like cheap crack. You know it's bad for you, you feel awful afterwards, and the high isn't even that great.

    Yet you can't quit it for good.
    It's tiny changes that would have had huge repercussions that fascinate me. The entire course of the Fifteenth Century would have been altered if Bolinbroke had died in the Tower of London today in history.
    How do you think the English succession would have been affected if Henry Bolinbroke had been a casualty of the Peasants' Revolt, instead of being saved at the last minute?
    Yeah, Kasumi's loyalty mission was pretty easy, comparatively. The early Omega missions were pretty hard, but I guess that was down to simply not having the skills at such a low level.
    There probably is a happy medium between "Latin names everywhere" and "Greek names everywhere", especially with well-known people like Justinian the Great. :)

    In other news, I went back to Mass Effect and completed a playthrough with Robert, my arsehole infiltrator, and then decided to crack on with Juliana, my paladin engineer, who just beat Horizon on Insanity after much effort!
    I was just scanning your 2009 history article about the Byzantine civil wars of the 1340s and there's not a single one of your usual Greek spellings. You even use John rather than Ioannes!
