The goal of this mod is to add a greater sense of realism to unit production. Finally in Gathering Storm multiple resources can be utilized by units.

Features

  • Copper is now a strategic resource. It's used for Bronze Age units, cannons, and modern ammo.
  • Nearly all units including uniques have strategic resource requirements and many require more than one resource. Example: Knight costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Horses per turn.
  • All land units beginning in the Modern era require the Factory.
  • All naval units beginning in the Renaissance era require the Shipyard.
  • Industrial Steel Enhancement: all land and naval units in the Modern and Atomic eras receive a +5 combat strength bonus if the player owns Coal.
  • Composite Armor Enhancement: all land and naval units in the Information era receive a +5 combat strength bonus if the player owns Uranium.
  • Industrial Zone receives a production adjacency bonus for each Lumber Mill.
  • Copper, Iron, Niter, Coal, Aluminum and Oil spawn on a wider variety of terrains based on my own research.

  • Spearman costs 10 Copper and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Heavy Chariot costs 20 Copper and consumes 1 Horses per turn
  • Horseman costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Horses per turn
  • Quadrireme costs 20 Copper and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Swordsman costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Iron per turn
  • Knight costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Horses per turn
  • Crossbowman costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Iron per turn
  • Pikeman costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Iron per turn
  • Musketman costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Caravel costs 10 Copper and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Bombard costs 20 Copper and consumes 2 Niter per turn
  • Frigate costs 20 Copper and consumes 2 Niter per turn
  • Privateer costs 10 Copper and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Field Cannon costs 10 Copper and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Cavalry costs 20 Horses and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Ironclad costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Coal per turn. +5 combat strength with Coal.
  • Ranger costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Biplane has 0 cost and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Infantry costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Artillery costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Battleship costs 20 Iron and consumes 2 Coal per turn
  • Submarine costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • AT Crew costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Tank costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Anti-Air Gun costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Machine Gun costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Copper per turn
  • Aircraft Carrier costs 20 Iron and consumes 2 Oil per turn
  • Destroyer costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Helicopter costs 10 Aluminum and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Nuclear Submarine costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Uranium per turn
  • Mechanized Infantry costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Rocket Artillery costs 20 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Mobile Sam costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Fighter costs 20 Aluminum and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Bomber costs 20 Aluminum and consumes 1 Oil per turn

  • Spec Ops costs 10 Aluminum and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Drone costs 5 Aluminum and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Pike and Shot costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Niter per turn
  • Supply Convoy costs 5 Iron and consumes 1 Oil per turn
  • Courser costs 10 Iron and consumes 1 Horses per turn
  • Cuirassier costs 20 Horses and consumes 1 Niter per turn
