I worked on the mod and reorganized the UnitArtStyles. Download version 2.8 and see if you can merge it now.

I don't use it in this mod. There is somebody trying to add it, but so far no luck. BTW I still have some unit art work to do. I found a whole bunch of units. On top of that the techtree is going to be expanded and this will include Guerilla Warfare and Boer Commandos.

The interface for the game isn't working for me. The options, pedia, unit buttons, sliders, and everything except for the units and the map have disappared. Why is this happening to me?

Make sure you have in the 1861AD.ini

NoCustomAssets = 1

and if it still does it, sometimes alt-tabbing out and back to the game corrects that. If all else fails, try deleting the mod and reinstalling it.

Interesting, let me know if it does not work. I am steadily adding more things to the mod. It should be pretty interesting coming up.

When I try to play a scenario I get a CTD. I put the folder in: Documents/My games/beyond the sword/MODS. ANything im doing wrong? It lets me choose Speed/diffiulty, then my name. But when I hit start it get a CTD (Whats the scenario called exactly?)

Looks interesting.

I really need some help guys. I first installed it and played it, but then it said I needed the Revolution.ini. Any help?

It does not use revolution. It was taken out by the creator of the GEM scenario. It uses dales combat mod, and influence driven war. So the revolutions options will not work. I would love to try it with Revolutions, but no one has been able to merge it yet. Perhaps when the mod is finished. I have a long way to go yet.

Is there anything that needs to be downloaded before you install this? Also what is the installation path that I need to follow. I think that is my problem.

No, just download the mod and extract it into the Mods directory where BTS is installed.
ie: "C:\Program Files\Firaxis\CivilizationsIV\Beyond The Sword\Mods"

NOT in My Games folder! Then load BTS select Advanced->Load Mod->1861

Cripp I can still continue to finish this and add the mod when I am done right? Can someone post the link to revolutions mod?

Yes, I thinking to finish it and then merge it. I have a ways to go yet. It really does not matter it can be merged whenever, I add a new update. Once it is merged then it does not matter. Basically, all I am adding is buildings, units, and techs.

I was going to bring out an update version 2.9(The last finished update will be 3.0), when I get done with all the Imperialism techs, prior to when I begin the last phase which is WWI. So I will just merge it then, and do some playtesting. The big question is how do I merge it properly? Or is it easy enough to where I do not have to worry?
