germanicus, you can go to your personal message screen, and look at your Sent messages" screen.

Sorrry about always being late with the updates. I am currently trying to get certified in MIG welding, which is sort of time consuming, as well as trying to find a place for Machining Training (Lathes, Mills, things of that nature), I will make sure to get the orders up by Saturday morning.

will you even get my stats/map up?

Update 2

Huronic Empire

Although they made massive strides in expansion, there economy was strained. This was particularly because of new school policies that mandated guards be placed at entrances of schools for no apparent reason.

Egyptian Empire
Great improvement was made in the massive pyramid project and granary system. However the economy of the Egyptian empire suffered greatly as result of a state sponsored piracy system, which resulted in the downfall of basically all foreign trade coming into their ports. Still they are getting some money from piracyt in the Aegean

+1 Eco

Malta
Malta thrived by continuing trade, however Carthage continues to threaten commercial dominance in the region. Egyptian Piracy is cutting of

Rome
Rome itself is continuing to thrive, growing in local economy and expanding very quickly. Education and Infrastructure thrive.

Zemicks Army
This barbarian force created the first Unique Units, “Zemickis Legionars” which have been rushing down the Balkans, raiding. Also, in a suprising action, they raided there own capital, and have conscripted all those in the area.

+1 eco, -1 urban eco per turn, +1500 spear men, +200 Zemickis Legionary

Nova Scotia
Founding a new city, they have benefited by easy expansion. Little of interest happened here.

China
Although many in the world didn't know of it's existence (i sure didn't till i got the orders), it quickly built a nice road system.

Miletus

It gets forward on it's Greeking by one turn due to the change of the capital to Troy, also they continued to expand into the Aegean, and finally renamed the State Ionia. They subdivided the state into provinces that help to better manage the nation.

The Sovie-Carthan Empire
Little happened here, however there was slight improvement in the life of the people due to increased economy and infrastructure. They are under heavy threat from the Zemickis Empire.

Macedonia
Macedonia, after hearing of Zemickis Empire's raiding and sacking of the land to the north. People ran down from the north, trying to get away from the other barbarian hordes. The Macedonians quickly banded together and formed large platoons of lightly armed irregulars Psiloi, to try and prevent this massive migration. They did, however, profit greatly from local trade, as there ships were protected by heavily armed guards against Egyptian Piracy.

Stats done

I would like to remind people, yet again about two rules that are slightly less conventional.

You cannot just arbitrarily make Unique Unites, You have to have a story, or project, to make them

The second eco stat is the number of cities you can have, so, right now, everyone can only have 2 cities, including the capital.

OOC: Sweet Zombie Jesus! not only i had trade, but i also have ports!
Well i guess that being on the nile might count as a port city but how could i have had any significant trade if i had (and have) 0 trade income :p

Anyway story soon and perhaps even orders right after that!

Edit: I also love the part were Macedonia thrives form trade "as their ships were protected by heavily armed guards against Egyptian Piracy"... wait a second... Macedonia has not navy... how did they protect the ships? trying to station large amounts of guards on merchant ships would severely lower the efficiency and profit for the merchants and would have no effect even if the ships were literally full of soldiers since my navy can pick them off one ship at the time... merchant ships are no match for warships, no matter what you put on them.

Any sort of nation has some trade, the trade economy stat shows the trade defficet or bonus. You will always have foreign trade if you are in the Mediterranean. However, now your cities were formerly dependent on foreign trade, as such you might also suffer problems with urban economy (your people have nowhere to sell goods).

I also added a stat after the Economy in (), those are your stored economy.

The project Greekishness only require turns, no ecos.

My section of the update appears to be incomplete...I assume that I wasn't able to settle on Malta? And what happened to the eco that I was going to use to found another city?

Also, I ordered trading ships to take action to prevent piracy...did that have any effect?

To: Egypt

Yo, what's up with the piracy? Stop, okay?

Egypt

In the Far North of Egypt Behind the screen of the Pharos island and removed from the silt thrown out by Nile mouths there was an Egyptian village named Rhakotis.
Rhakotis had always been a home to fishermen and pirates whom plied their trade from the sea but in recent time a major increase of the latter started to shape the village into city. The Major influx of goods attracted merchants and fortune seekers from all over Egypt, soon enough the a proper harbor had been constructed and inns and taverns started to appear and the market exploded in size, Rhakotis was on his way to become a full fledged city in no time.

In the far South the Pharaoh was sitting in his tent at the army camp, it had become customary for the Pharaoh to lead a part of the army on campaigns to expand their rule, as a result of this the Egypt had developed a bureaucratic system of administrative regions known as Nome(s) which had extensive powers that allowed them to run day to day matters in an effective way, an other effect of the Pharaoh’s presence during campaigns was that the army was deeply loyal to the him, whom fought, slept and ate almost amongst them.

“Pharaoh, the men are here” the Pharaoh’s assistant announced
“Very well” the Pharaoh responded as he stood up and started to make his way out of his tent.
Outside of the tent 30 men stood in 3 neatly formed rows.
“Men, you are the best of the best
your loyalty is without question
you have proven your prowess in many battles
for this you promoted to bodyguards
each one of you shall be awarded the best horses and weapons
for your services you shall be rewarded with land and wealth
now go and feast today with your comrades as from tomorrow you will be above them and your only concern will be guarding my terrestrial body.”
“Long live the Pharaoh, Glory to Egypt!” the men shouted
And so the Pharaoh’s assistant began calling out the names of the chosen warriors, to each he have a badge, proclaiming their new quasi-aristocratic status.

From Egypt
To Malta

Our ships will stop forcefully exacting our due tributes by force as soon as you start paying it willingly

Not to gripe.. but why have i STILL not got any stats?

How can i write orders without stats?

You don't have enough Urban economy to found another city (you have Malta, and Sycracuse, 2). It was lost to Egyptian Piracy.
Sorry, but that didn't really answer my questions. Why didn't the eco just get banked? Why didn't I settle on Malta? And did the anti-pirate measures have any effect?

Army of Zemeckis

Today scouts have came back from the south before our army. They speak of a land owned by a barbarian people. They speak of great riches to plunder. They speak of glory.

The new general, Asmodai, has commanded we sharpen our blades for what is about to come. The scouts speak of a way of warfare that depends on one another for protection. Of a wall of spears they will use against our men. We are not afraid. We have been tried and tried with war. It is our fuel to carry on. We do not fear any other army.

A macedonian messenger came to us, following the scouts... He spoke to the General about peace and not intruding into Macedonian lands. The General spoke to him and asked "Why are the macedonians a bunch of cowards?" and the messenger did not know what to say. He didn't get to return to his lands, however. He was hung for attempting to slow down the progress of the Zemeckis Army in finding their promised land.

War against an actual foe was about to begin.

--------------

General Asmodai was designing weapons and tactics for his army one day and found that he had made a very curious style that could be harnessed for the better of his army. He had his smith create 10 of these new weapons he had made. He decided to call them "Asmodai Blades".

These weapons were 3 foot long handles, with a 4 foot long blade. (The blade was more of a falchion type). He then gave these weapons to 10 of his soldiers and told them to stand in a line with 4 feet worth of distance between each man. There were 5 men on the front row and 5 in the back row. The men in the back row were not right behind the men in the front row, they were in behind, but in between the spaces between the front row men.

These 10 men were drilled to use this weapon for a week. Then they were tested against 20 troops using the usual method, with spears. These 10 men knew their places and knew how to use their weapons. Not as good as these 20 knew how to use their spears, but at least these 10 were not completely dumb at these new "Asmodai Blades".

The 20 men rushed at the new style troops. They, in their tight formation, made up the same amount of space with their front line as these new 10. When the forces met, the Asmodai Blade soldiers flung their blades franticly, slicing down everyone in their front. Some of the other soldiers made their way through the first line to be cut down by the second.

In a half minute the little skirmish was over. The 20 men assembled to go against these men using Asmodai Blades were dead. The Asmodai Blade users lost 2 men. This was greatly pleasing to General Asmodai. He named these 8 left, the "Zemeckis Legionaires", and gave them the collective name "Zemeckis Legion".

He trained and trained these 8 men. They were becoming masters of camoflage, masters of the bow, and more importantly, masters of the Asmodai Blade. Trained in conventional and non-conventional methods of warfare, they were a menacing force to be reckoned with.

These 8 men were given a squad to place under their guidance. These 8 were to train 25 men a piece in their art. After this was done, there were 200. These 200 Zemeckis Legionaires were so destructive, that they would submit tribes before the actual Army of Zemeckis came around to gie battle.

This new class of fighter was extremely prestigeous. It was the best fighting force in the world, for any situation.

----------

Live by war. Die by war. In the afterlife, crave war. War is everything. If one should die by another means, one of his brothers should stab him, so that he dies by a weapon, and not by unnoble causes.

The Zemeckis Legion care not for women. They care not for Children. They care not for anyone that lives a peaceful life. They care for eachother, and for war. They believed that the world was endless. They believed that there is always someone else to be slaughtered.

The Army of Zemeckis only needs it's promised land, so that it may become masters of populations.

"We kill, and kill, and kill, and still there are more people to kill... What a great world this is to live in" - General Kahsha, the General before Asmodai.

OOC: What is the country right there where Byzantium used to be in real life? And when are orders due?

We destroy all we come in contact with. You are out of our way, but we will destroy you too, unless you pay 2 economy points. I pray you heed this warning not, and become training grounds for my army.
