We will never bow down to your demands. Your soldiers will come, and once they fall they will be used to feed our swine. We are people not to be toyed with, if your men step foot on our soil, then an empire shall fall, but it shall not be ours.

P.S: It Sovie-Carthan not Soviet-Carthage, I just named it Sovie-Carthan to honor my homeland of the Soviet Union and to honor the Great General Hannibal of Carthage.

picked orange colouration, and description is within the thread.. i did send orders for other turns, but did anything happen? When did my money go, also since i didnt do anything last turn, should not my money be banked?

Your deffiance is hilarious. As we said, we did not intend on destroying your pathetic country. We have, however, had scouts reporting your location and therefore we deem it necessary to alter our course to destroy you, unless you pay the said tribute. Your country is the first that has been offered anything of this sort. We will act like we did not recieve the last emissary. Send a new one, with better news... Your country's livelihood rests in the next message your country sends.

OOC: Do you really want your nation to go down in history as a "speed bump" over 2 economy points?

You wlll never scare the hardy people of Sovie-Carthan into paying you tribute. We will not pay, and you will not destroy us, our great leader Yevin Blavonovich, General of the Bosporus will defeat anything you throw at us. If our fate lies in this message then we are either doomed or blessed once we are victorious.

OOC: Are you really going to risk your whole nation over 2 Eco Points. I may not a genius but I think I can beat you army. Its like the movie "300" except in this one, I win.

OOC: Behind the Mask, do you have MSN?

Alright now kids, gather around the campfire, Uncle BTM has a stroy to tell you.

-----

Yevin Blavonovich, Emperor and General of the Bosporus, is strong, despite his old age of 63 (an incredible old age for someone of this era), Yevin is as strong as ever. He is hardy old man, standing at 6 feet, 7 inches; Yevin is a terrifying man to be around. On the battlefield he is a monster, he fights to the death. But, despite his physical attributes, Yevin’s true strength is his ability to understand and comprehend. He is quick witted and beyond all else, a gifted Strategist.

Today, however, is something different. He is no longer facing Barbaric Tribes in Asia Minor, but the highly disciplined army of the Zemeckis. He is General of the Carthanic Armies; his decisions will make or break his empires.

The future is uncertain, war seems eminent. He is outnumbered, 3 to 1. But Yevin remains confident.

That is why he is here, standing atop a hill looking over his camp. Fires burn bellow and smoke rises in the air. Hundred, possibly a thousand, men stand below him. The Carthanic Army is organized, disciplined and deadly. Yen sits in the saddle atop his mighty steed, the ‘Eminent Victory’. Surrounding him is his personal bodyguard and his loyal advisors. Unlike most advisors of his day, these where not his “Yes-Men”, they were not there to promote him as god like, that he is infallible. He is willing to listen and learn.

Down below were the Sovie-Carthanic Army. The average Infantryman was well armed and protected. The Armor consisted of a basic bronze breastplate, a helmet and a basic type of mail armor used to cover his arms and legs from arrows, a shield was also supplied. The weaponry was made up of a blunt sword, a spear, and the occasional “Sling”, a sort of missile weapon in which a stone is slung from a ‘slingshot’, it can do incredible damage.

Blavonovich looks over his army, they stand in think squares. He had built this army himself, he had drilled it. The army could march in columns and fight as one, but in hard times, it could be incredibly flexible. The Army was organized quite well.

The army is made up of two Imperials. An Imperial is a group of 500 men.

One Imperial is made up 250 men, or as it is called, an Argonaut.

The Argonauts are split up into groups of 50 men, the “Water-Irons”; the Water-Irons are the most flexible of the units. But its smaller numbers can cause it to be overwhelmed.

Yevin looked out over his men. His face dull. The only sign of Blavonovich’s age is in his left eye, it is blind, pale and lifeless. But all else on his face gives an expression of confidence, and it is this confidence that is passed onto his people.

We are on our way to the promised land. We would have no intention of even destroying these sovie cartha people before we meet our destination, however, they have designated themselves the stopped of the great migration, and will be destroyed.

Just so you know Sovie - Carthag, you don't currently own thermoplye. It is in greece..

Note to all players!

I will not accept "have you seen that movie "300", well, ummmm... do what they did" as valid orders.

Actually, my strat had nothing to do with thermoplye, it was actually based more around the Battle of Cannaea.

I haven't even looked at your military orders... I was only refering to what you said before
"OOC: Are you really going to risk your whole nation over 2 Eco Points. I may not a genius but I think I can beat you army. Its like the movie "300" except in this one, I win."
