1st, 2nd column

This would make so much more sense if somebody could tell me what the 1st and 2nd column symbols meant. I put a subject in the wrong place (accident, ok?) and it got moved here and now it has a "x" in the second column. Huh?
 
X symbol is the symbol for threads with poll. It doesn't mean your thread is axed. ;)
 
The only 1st/2nd column symbol I don't get is the one in the 1st column with the envelope with a black dot in the middle of it. What does that mean?
Edit: Actually, I think I figured it out. Could it mean that I have posted in that thread? That must be what it is; hey, that's actually pretty useful.

Right, the folder icon has a small dot for threads you made or have replied to.
 
I think it tells you in the forums, or subforums. (if you look at the top of bottom of the page).

Actually the bottoms of the pages don't include the dotted envelope. (Although it doesn't matter since TF answered anyway, which I guess you missed.)
