In my latest game using Warlords I was Hannibal and attacked Asoka who had some 500 points more than me. I took a couple of cities then I headed for the capital since I knew he had lots of wonders in it. Plus it was the Buddhist holy city and both of us are Buddhist, and so I could see all the rest of his cities that had the state religion in them.

The result? I jumped ahead of him in score and made him descend by 200+ points. What difference a city makes!

The city didn't keep many of its buildings, but I was glad it also had an Academy beside the Great Lighthouse, Colossus, Hanging Gardens and Notre Dame. All in a days work. :D

By the way, the research rate is so low because I'm in full war mode: Police State (thank you Roosevelt for Pyramids), Nationhood, Slavery & Theocracy and working mostly production tiles.

I checked it to see what's in it. I knew about most wonders, but wanted to see if I got an Academy and what buildings were left in it. The angry faces will be quieted down. ;) (really, I'm just getting hold of some happiness resources, I had only two before and a couple from trades with Asoka, and it sucked)

Unhappy citizens in conquered cities are foremostly to be removed by :whipped:

After theatre+granary+courthouse+lighthouse there won't be many left to complain ;)

Nice conquest :goodjob:

Thanks. :) Between Representation, state religion, and a lot more happiness resources than you can see there (as I also got Astronomy) I think I'll be able to keep the city around that size anyway. If not possible, as you said, I'll whip a few things and get it down to manageable levels of happiness.
