2006 CFC 7-Round NFL Mock Draft (Starts 2/4)

The 2nd Round will begin soon.

Houston (GM Azale) will kick off the draft with his selection Friday (2/3) afternoon. After which we will attempt to get through the first round of the draft by Monday (2/6). If we do get through the first by Monday, we will likely wait to start the second round until friday, unless people really want to keep going through the week. This top post will be updated throughout the week.
Tuesday Night Update: GMs that are confirmed to be still be participating are in green...was pale green but that wasn't good for the eyes. 2nd Round Order posted.

Thursday Update: Azale will be most likely taking his pick Friday morning now. Also, we still have teams available, those of you who already have a team, please consider taking a second!

Stuart Scott, ESPN: "Wow. A stunner here in Times Square people, the left tacke from Virginia taken over what many considered the two consensus number one's. We have the GM of the Houston Texans with us to tell us why they chose who they did."

Texans GM Charlie Casserly: "It was a simple process for us. Reggie Bush is a great player and so is Vince Young, but after a thorough re-evaluation process with new coach Gary Kubiak, we think we have our runningback and quaterback already. David has been sacked the most times in the NFL since he came into the league though...so we knew offensive line was one of our weaknesses. Ferguson was the best offensive lineman on the board and the best player overall on some boards so we decided on him. Maybe its not flashy, but we're about winning football games."

It's the best pick and safest pick for them. When was the last time a top 10 offensive tackle was a bust...'89?

Edit: Just to add, the Texans did have by far the worst left side of the line in football last year. Brick is such a major upgrade.
