wow, no young leinart of bush in the first two picks, I'm wondering who will get them.

No Young or Leinert??? :hmm:
Jay Cutler took Vandy, a team with substandard recruiting and plays a tough conference, to a winning record. Lienert and Young pretty much own two very good HSFootball states and are top10 recruiting always. Maybe I've just been listening to too much Skip Bayless... :hmm:
And who needs Bush when you have Deucey McCalister and the A-Train?

Plus, who wouldn't want a guy that looks like this on their team:

OBTW what is the plan IF posters don't show up and make their picks ? how long do we wait? What is a reasonal amount of time ?

Vandy didn't have a winning record this year. They lost to MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE.

PS: Listening to Skip Bayless can cause headaches, nausea, vomiting, and a complete ignorance of sports ;)

EDIT: However, I think Saints are better off with Leinart or Cutler over Young. Young is another Aaron Brooks, and they've had enough probs with him.

yes yes yes and FSU lost to UVA but they still made a BCS game! Come on, one game.
Even if t hey didn't have a winning record, it was still more successful than their normal season. And just because Vandy didn't have a winning record doesn't mean he's a bad qb.

I'm not saying he's a bad QB. I'm just saying we have no proof of how good he truly is. He reminds me a bit about Mike McMahon: excellent QB, lousy school. McMahon didn't work out (yet), I'm not sure why people think Cutler will. I know everyone is looking for the next Big Ben, but people may be looking so hard they're seeing him where he's not. I'm just advising caution. And also setting the record straight as to what Vandy did last season.

Does 6 hours sound reasonable? I PMed Arminius a little after 8 this morning letting him know he was up, so if we give 6 hours then that would give him until 2pm EST.

And maybe after that give 2 or 3 hours since people can post their picks before theirs actually comes up

So here is a question for everyone: Who should the Titans pick? Reggie Bush, Matt Lienart or Vince Young (or someone else)??

Remembering that Norm Chow (former USC OC) is now the Titans OC, I think it'll almost certainly be Bush or Lienart.

I'd say they will go for Lienart, since they do need a new qb with McNair aging rapidly.

Titans stated they would take Young ( Mcnair has been "mentoring " him in college )

Alright, here is a new rule for people that haven't confirmed participation (those who aren't in green on the first post). If you haven't posted by the time your pick comes up to confirm that you are still participating, then your pick will be chosen for you. I will send out a PM to everyone not confirmed yet letting them know of this. For everyone else that is confirmed, you will still have up to two hours to make your pick.

Also, the two hour requirement won't be in effect between 1am and 8am EST since I doubt anyone wants to post thier pick at 5 in the morning. I know I won't even be on at that hour!

It's 5am here, and I'm online yet again. Doesn't bother me if there's short time limits during the middle of the night for my picks though, I should be organised enough to deal wih it.

Also, I've got the Broncos, and I want to trade up to pick 6-10 or so. I'll offer Denver's 2 first rounders for pick 6-10, plus a later round pick. Assuming the player I want is still available of course.

And to answer your question from the last page:

It's the best pick and safest pick for them. When was the last time a top 10 offensive tackle was a bust...'89?

Mike Williams, top 5 pick for Buffalo a few years ago, benched late this season. Definite bust. Don't think Ferguson will be though.

I had a quick look at some available players today, one of the ones I'd want after the small amount of college gridiron I've watched this year isn't even available, he must have decided to stay. Jeff Samadja <sp?>, WR for Notre Dame. Looked excellent.

Denver doesn't have a first rounder this year

We show them with 2, ESPN says they have none?

EDIT: because dumba$$ Espn has 2005 positions listed for the teams

Denver has 2 first rounders, 22 from washington, and 29.

@Redfusion: Haloti Ngata from Oregon. I'd expect him to be gone by the Bills at about pick 8. Although if I was the bills I'd be trying to move up a couple of spots for Leinart. Looking at the order, Titans need a QB, presumably Young, Jets & packers don't need one, 49ers don't need one unless they decide Smith is a bust, Raiders, Bills & Lions all do. Bills or Lions should be making a big effort to move up for Leinart with the way the first two picks have gone.

Haloti is a good one, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping he falls to my browns in the real draft. Though I have to agree with you, I can't see him sliding past the Bills.

Since Arminius (Titans GM) hasn't posted recently, it's time for the Titans to pick:

With the third pick in the 2006 CFC Mock Draft the Tennessee Titans select:

Vince Young - Quarterback - University of Texas

The perfect protege for Steve McNair. Norm Chow will do wonders for his throwing mechanics.

And the New York Jets are on the board

And the deadline has passed for Blindside, therefore,

With the fourth pick in the 2006 CFC Mock Draft the New York Jets select:

The jets are breaking out the champaigne now that Bush has miraculously fallen to them at the 4th pick!
