2019 Christmas Thread

Just FTR, I grew up in the UK, and never saw this sketch -- until 2006, when I moved to Germany, where it's also a Christmas TV-staple (at least in my wife's family).
Yeah Germany and Scandinavia generally shares a lot of weird Christmas traditions.

I prefer the movies on Lifetime. I saw one a couple weeks ago that was cute, about this successful woman whose family visits and takes over her Christmas. I also watched another cute one about a daughter-mother team trying to save their farm through an ice cream promotion. Some of the movies are really pretty good.

Hmm, I thought they were all the same movie but with a different name and actors. ;)

Pft. I've also heard men can only see about a half a dozen colors.

Well, a television or computer monitor actually only produces three, so how many do we really need to see?

I'm pretty sure your computer screen can produce millions of colors

Nah. It just mixes red, green, and blue like everyone elses. Technically, that's also how your eyes work, so it works out good.

Not those kind of dramas! Dramas like every Tom Hanks movie like Sully, Cast Away, Saving Private Ryan. I'm not saying Tom Hanks is my favorite actor or those are my favorite movies but the genre type fits perfectly since almost every single Tom Hanks movie is a drama, and I do like them.

heck if there's a good looking woman in it we probably don't notice anything else. Plot, male actors, scenery. :p

Tom Hanks has some wonderful movies! Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, Big ... just to name a few!

If you'd like a Tom Hanks Christmas movie, you've always got The Polar Express! XD

My Christmas table setting for dinners this season. Yes yes, I know I need to re-straighten everything and refold my napkins, but I mainly wanted to see how it'd look first.

(and no, Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie!)
Well, I guess we will have to disagree on that. I'm not a fan of Christmas movies in general, but when pressed, Die Hard comes out on top. :p
