I'll send Excelsi a PM and if I don't get a reply in a couple of days I'll have to post for a replacement, or since we're still near the start, restart the game (depending how we all feel about that).

Ok Excelsi is gone.

We can proceed from here either by seeking a replacement player or simply restarting the game with a new player. OR we could even start the game with one less player.

What does everyone think?

It's always a shame when someone abandons a game but at least it's early enough in the game we have more options on what to do in continuing.

My vote is for restarting the game with a new player.

since i'm quite comfortable in the spot i'm in right now i vote for a replacement player. Besides that, the first moves after a start are quite boring so sitting this through again isn't an attractive thought.

I vote for replacement but if there will be 2 persons for repl. and 2 for new start I can agree for restart game.

I say we do a game with four players anyway. Given the news of Civ 5 , I'd prefer the game to be one that won't go as long as one with 5 players inevitably would.

Is anyone up for starting again with exactly the same settings except with four players only?

Maybe Excelsi quit because of his mistake with the worker...

Yes I am good for a 4 player restart. I understand the frustration with restarts it always feels like being cherry picked because the good ones seem to fizzle out and the crappy ones go the distance.

Not much choice in this case IMHO.

I hope Excelsi didn't quit because of the worker misclick surely if he posted to the thread we would agree to go back to that turn. Oh well....

If Excelsi has a password on his saves, you might need to send it to me to change/remove his password.

I can't remember how many turns we had played but I think it was less than 5. I'm pretty sure he already settled his city (if I remember noticing the scoreboard) but apparently he moved his worker the wrong way on one of the turns.

I've received it. I meant to send off my PBEMs today but annoyingly I forgot my darned usb stick. I should be able to send it off either later today or some time tomorrow.
