3rd Annual CFC Chess Tourney!!

I may get schooled, but I may also get some lucky breaks. My games so far have proven that much! Like mine and peter grimes game, we're 15 moves in, and no one has lost anything major yet. Should be a very interesting match...looks like to be a tight one as well. I'm hoping to show I can beat higher ranked people than me as well as maybe get a lucky break...two opponents have 10 days a piece before they both time out. Would help both my rank and my chances in the tourney if it happened.

I am getting schooled
Don't feel too bad, I'd say you're in the hardest division.

I feel somewhat relaxed about my games so far. I'm not losing any of them (yet).

I've a good position in 1 game, slightly better in another one, and two are still in the balance. So far my biggest headache is Narz :)
Yeah, our game seems rather drawish if one of us doesn't mess up.

Grrrrrr.....

One game lost, another looking aweful - and the two which are still open are only a few moves old...

Damn, Sashie is currently handing my ass to me on a silver platter...:D
Do I really suck that much or is he that good? :crazyeye:

Sashie is pretty darn good, I'd say. I made one passive move & black (Sahsie) pretty much totally equalized (in my unprofessional opinion). Now he may have an advantage, with perfect play from both of us it will probably be a draw.

I just want to make sure about this. If I get second place in my group, do I still advance to the next round?

Ok, now I'm officially losing against Sahsie.

Only because you gave me time to bring reinforcements ;)

Rules in the OP says ten players advance, but we have 6 groups. I'm guessing that top players advance with the other 4 based on points/tie-break? This needs clarification.
