I would have never guessed Paris if you had written Vichy. Don't know why, but I thought it was Marsellies or one of the other southern cities.

What's this, what was it used for?

I thinks it is Zimmerit Coating.

It consisted cement. This coating was applied on tanks and other fighting vehicles by Germany. This was designed against Magnetic Mines.

The funny thing about Zimmerit was that it was a complete waste of time and resources for the Germans.

Nobody but the Wehrmacht used magnetic anti-tank mines, thus rendering Zimmerit totally pointless!
