That's what I thought. @black213 what mods you use along with VP and 3/4UC?
 
Spoiler Shophet check no 2 :

  • on Land:
    • "Nearby Shophet" (At the beginning of the turn adjacent or same tile Friendly Units ignore ZOC for that turn)
  • on Water:
    • must be in a Friendly City to disembark back to a Shofet
Ok, I probably understood the Shophet idea. It gives 1 bonus to land units (comparing to GG) and doubles amount of GA if necessary. Right?
Anyone tested how AI handles with this unit? If it uses it as GA?

I reworked description part:
  • changed order of Civs to alphabethical
  • revised civs from America to Carthage
    • added new icons,
    • fixed ability order,
    • cleaned texts
It will be great start for big info tab we talked earlier.

  • I noticed that Huey Teocalli gives +2c and +2f to Temples and in spreadsheet was +1c and +1f. Do we change something?
  • +15% :c5culture: Culture on :c5citizen: Citizen Birth - this part of E-temenanki is local (in the city). Should I change it to global?

The AI does not understand that it can make GAs with GGs, but it does embark GGs. When it does that, the Shofet has GA AI, so the AI understands how to use the unit well enough, it just doesn’t necessarily know that it is doing so.

No I think that must just be a typo on the spreadsheet.

The 15% culture on etemenanki is for parity with the base national monument. No change needed

Some additionnal things I forgot to tell :
- the Slaganz 3d model is the spearman one and its flag is the one of the spearman, although the Slaganz correct flag appears when in IGE mod
- the Zulu UB2 gives culture when a unit gains a level... isn't it exactly a toned down version of what the Dojo does (culture and science when a unit is promoted) ?
- I'm not convinced with the current effect of the Japanese UB2 (it seems quite bland), but I don't exactly know what to do with it for now. I'll think about it.

Also, is it possible to actually give the Armada +4 CP when at full health (the same kind of bonus the Iron Chariot has) instead of a CS percentage bonus ? This way, the unit would be trully terrifying, until wounded (it could lose the bonus CP immediatly, or at the end of the turn it is wounded)... What do you think ?

  • I fixed 3D model and SV icon lately. There was mistake in code - unnecessary " mark.
  • Do you want to buff Armada that way? It will be harder to code I suppose.
  • Icons:
    • I can make Yamato icon look better like the Hashemite
    • Iziko - I like the style of the icon but it's hard to recognize smth on it. I saw what it is only after zooming in GIMP (there's sword in the picture!). Do we have some other fireplace picture? Maybe:

  • We don't have another picture for Chasqui, but I agree that it looks bad in game.

I like the idea of changing the base cp on armada, because that affects your ability to demand tribute from CSs, and is itself affected by % modifiers. I think it would be very flavourful

The Japanese UB seems powerful to me, but in a very passive way. It has a good % modifier for culture in city, but it’s main draw is the massive boost to artistic GP production, but that only affects your guild cities. Maybe we could add something else, like an additional effect if the GWMusic slot is filled? Like +1:c5happy:?

The iziko uses the same yields on levels that the dojo does, yes, but with the new GG that gives bonuses to XP, and their UA, it has much more synergy than Japan’s. I don’t know what else to do with a bonfire, really. My other thought was to give culture on pastures, but fealty does that already now

Not going to knock it out of the park every time, I think :/

  • I do not want it, it is just a suggestion so that the effect of the promotion corresponds to what it says it does. If it adds work you judge unnecessary, then let's forget this.
Thank you for putting the "rough terrain penalty" on the Iron chariot : the unit felt too powerful, and it's more fitting thematically.
Also, what do you think of the two changes I suggested for the Corsair : available at Banking, and obtain the "Can enter rival territory" promotion ?

With authority, this effect would be very powerful (since your Armada will heal when killing, allowing them to stay at full health).

Maybe something similar to what the Laguna does : a yield bonus for each type of guild. Knowing that the Opera house is the type of building you can't easily build in new cities, it gives bonus to both tall and wide playstyles :
- tall (the UB would be built faster, and there would be more chances to use the specialist slots, knowing that having three guilds in the same city uses a lot of food)
- wide (difficulties to build the UB, but there will be more bonus yields for all types of guilds : you can use them in some key cities to better their growth)
Moreover, it would make you have to choose between Fealty (accelerates Dojo construction ; additionnal food means that you can place your guilds a bit everywhere and play the wide game I just described) or Artistry (additionnal bonus to the guilds, synergy with the GWs obtained through the UA).

Maybe a small bonus to the city each time a GP is consumed (the fame of the Zulu people brings wealth) ? It would synergies with the InDuna, and would give a (small tool) for those who want to play a less agressive (but not peaceful : it would waste so much potential) GP focused Zulu playstyle.
 
Another possibility is to abandon the iziko and do the Kraal as a stable replacement.
The icons are already built.
Could swap the bonus to mounted production to land melee units, which fits well with how Zulu de-emphasizes mounted units. Could give food to camps and pastures.

Maybe for the kabuki, it could give 1 of each GPP to the appropriate guild?

Any comments re. The ideas I proposed for changing InDuna?

I think the bonus yields could work, but balancing will be needed, as always... Do you have other ideas for the building ?

I think them entering rival territory is a good idea, but I’m opposed to bringing them earlier. The sea beggar already is available earlier, and the corsairs hit their heyday much later than the sea beggars.

fair enough. And we haven’t done an amphitheater yet.

I’m not all that familiar with Bantu culture, and the Zulu empire was a very brief moment in history, so I’m struggling to find things that strike me as eminently gamifyable w.r.t. this.

well Persia already does the yields to guilds thing. Maybe that’s what we should do with Persia instead of the +3:c5culture:/:c5gold: on guilds is +1:c5culture:/:c5gold: to guilds for every pairidaeza on empire?

Perhaps a 25% chance to instantly create a great work of music on construction?
Edit: or, since people would just save scum a % chance on building complete, you could make the building unsellable, and every 4th kabuki on empire gets a free GWM, starting with the 1st kabuki built (ie free gem on 1, 5, 9, 13... kabukis on empire

Look into credits. I try to update it as frequent as possible when I'm doing "cleaning" for each civ. "Permission stuff" was burried somewhere deep in this thread and no one tried to do this. Too much other work. As far as I remember you were the last person who gathered some list, right? You can (re)start using that.

You can edit github credits file when you get or already have some permission. Mark it somehow f.e. those who didn't answered - their names you can put into brackets (f.i. (JFD)) and those who declined - into square brackets (f.e. [JFD]).

What if someone did some thing (f.e. model) very long time ago and abandoned forum? I assume there are such people from our list.

Community Events, Civ Names By Policies, Global - Religious Settlers, UI - Religion Spread, Really Advanced Setup. I'll report back if the problem persists in v27.
Also, is the project compatible with Enginseer's Unique City-States and World Congress Reformation?
 
Uhh, long list. Have you tried to do the same thing with only VP, IGE and 3/4UC? What was the result?
 
@Infixo in description of the building tech tree. I will do screens if necessary.
