42,91 euros for my internet? WTH???

this is the speed I am on: 512kbps Up - 10Mbps Down

this is the amount I can DL: 12 GB
(freaking datalimit )
do you feel this is way too expensive too?
I ordered 5 gigs extra to be able to DL (else I'm put on smallband) and I had to pay 5 euro's extra.
so in total for two months of getting 5GB extra I get a bill of 53,07 euros.
What a crappy internet service.
How much do you guys pay for your internetz?

I pay $120 canadian or so each month for 5Mbps down internet, digital cable with a couple hundred channels, setanta sports pack (comes with all premiership games each season), a pvr (that's a tivo for you americans), and home phone.

It would have been more, but all these services are from one company, so since I bundled that's a 10% discount.

approx. 30€ for 100Mbit, a speed that I don't need, but the deal is through our 'living-community', the large house in which I have my appartment....

That is 100 times faster than what i am using.

....... :mad::mad::mad:

Is it really that fast though? Mine is appearantly advertised as 6mbs but I hardly ever get speeds higher than 1mbs.

Only time I've seen those speeds working at the rate they claim is on University campus.

EDIT: In fact those "max speed" is imo false advertising and should be done away with and replaced by an "average speed" determined by an independant party.

No it should be minimum speed. I have complained about this a lot to my isp. Hopefully some one will take action.

I am shocked at how bad the internet is in some places. YOu people pay a lot for really crummy deals. You should get a new isp.

*proud*

Monthly I pay about 10 euros for 2 mb/s wireless network, no limits.

Generally about $35-45/mo
10Mb, effectively about 800MB/250MB, up/down.

Limit on how much you can d/l, WTH? Yeah, that wouldn't fly around here.

Edit, about what? 10 euros a month then?

We pay £21 per month (~€25) for Satellite TV, free evening and weekend phone-calls, 8Mb broadband (with a 40Gb limit... which might as well be unlimited!). Between 3 of us :D

It's a bloody good deal. In fact there's lots of bloody good deals atm. With HSDPA gone mainstream, you can get mobile phone AND mobile internet for like £20 per month. There's plenty of competition in the UK market atm, with telecoms companies diversifying into TV/entertainment, and vice versa.

4-8mps $19.99 from Charter. No "download limit" or what ever you Euro guys are talking about. My hard drives combined are 600GB+ so I guess 600GB is my limit.

Pretty consistant service but one time they shut off the internet in my area for 2 or 3 days for somekind of maintenence or whatever and never bothered to inform their clients (me) beforehand.

We pay about 120 R$ (Reais) for Internet + Phone + Mobile Phone Line here in Brazil. We're using Velox, with two computers sharing a 1mpbs connection. It's a pretty good provider, there are no download limits so we don't need to worry about that, unlike the unhappy sods who sign sucky internet. And there's no Traffic Shapping, too, so P2P is pretty fast. Wish it was higher, I think my brother in rio pays 70 Reais for 8mpbs internet, from what he told me.

Oh yeah, here in Mexico basic internet is free. You just have to have a phone and buy a modem. But its crappy internet.
