One oddity, its weird that GA boosters are actually "bad" for Aztecs since it delays when they get new GA triggers for their UB2. I don't think its too bad since aztec gets GA triggers mostly from other means than the normal GAP, but its not the smoothest aspect.

Is that actually true?

You can trigger GAs while already in a GA. I believe you also continue to accumulate GAPs towards your next GA while s already in a GA.

Last time I played the Aztec, you do have to wait for your golden age to end for the next point-based to start. You can easily have something like " -23 turn before the next golden age ".
Anything that say "start a golden age" apply immediately and prolong the current golden age though (like winning wars), and proc the building's effect.

Yes, you do have to wait for a Golden Age to end in order for one to trigger from your Golden Age Meter, but if you're in a situation where you are racking up significant turns of GA past the required cap then you're in late game infinite golden age, and have probably already made your 10 GA cap.

In practice, it allows your city to develop very well, the surplus food help both to growth (which gives science - the UB gives 1 science per 4 pop) and working specialist. I found out that I was gaining a lot more passive science than other warmonger. Even outside of wars your economy is pretty good (assuming you made some successful early wars->GA to build your UB's bonus)

10 too low! feels bad to hit a cap! (havent tested, it seems strong, caps are just pretty depressing)
Hence keeping it not retroactive. You can still build stacks in newer expansions into the late game.

It doesn't feel good having only a few cities that can satisfy CS unit quests. CS gifts will also always have less XP assuming you expand outwards (what happened to the CS gift XP following CS buildings proposal?)

That CS quest is broken for this exact reason. I'm sympathetic to this concern, but to me the problem lies with the quest, not XP sources.

If it were a normal session I'd propose something like limiting the quest's target XP to only include basic buildings, or have an era scaling threshold (based on expected barracks+ timings). As it stands, unique XP sources are basically a hindrance for satisfying the Unit-XP quest, which seems completely backwards.

Maybe they will consider making an exception for things that are so obviously wrong like you nicely demonstrated in your post

Is War Captives effective on attack only?

Gain 1 :c5citizen: Population instantly when a :c5goldenage:Golden Age Begins
Is this local?

Gain 10 :c5faith: Faith and :c5gold: Gold whenever you kill an enemy unit during a Golden Age, scaling with Era
Does this apply to all your units regardless of origin?

Can't say for war captive, but I've played the Aztec with a recent 4UC, and yes to both.
