all right, all my passed-away relatives (except one in a car accident) died of cancer.. I'm worried it might be genetics.. and that I might get it.  :( :(

Do I have to worry?

thank you

Well, it seems it does run in your family. Most of the time, there is nothing you can do about it. Just try to NOT worry about it, and do things which decrease the chance of cancer. Sitting there worrying about it will get you nowhere ;)

Oh, and sorry about your relatives (My girlfriend has cancer on the lady side of the family too, and she's going to die sometime soon too.)

Did they die young?

It seems you have to worry, but without more info is difficult to tell. Hopefully, there will be a cure by the time hoy have it.

Some of them were young, but not all

I bet is it certainly is genetics, and you probably will get it. :(

What would be helpful to find out is what types of cancer they died of, such as breast, colon, testicular, brain, etc.

There is some degree of prevention involved, but you should see a medical professional about things you/they could do.

Did they all live in the same area? Charts show that cancers tend to have clusters. These are typicaly near cities were polutions of all kinds are more massed.

They all lived in my town!

Keep track of it, and make sure to get yourself tested for various types of cancers periodically. Cancer is becoming more and more treatable these days, and if you do end up with it, noticing it early on can make it very treatable and give you very good chances.

If it's any consolation, we're in the same boat on this one.

Eat well, excercise properly, and get your self checked regularly. No point in worrying about it now, if it comes it comes.

Another reason to develop a cure for cancer as soon as possible. In the name of humanity, what are you scientists doing? Hurry up!

Cancer is genetic true, but if you eat well, exercise and generally look after your health you decrease the chance of getting cancer or if you do get cancer chances are you'll know about it before it's too late.
