A Brave New World Part 2

Starting update now.

To: New England
From: SUSA

What is the meaning of this hostile act? We have done nothing to deserve this declaration. In the interest of our security we declare that any New England warships or their support ships will be sunk on sight if they are seen within 12 miles of our territory. We encourage South American allies to do the same. Especially in regards to closing the straits of Magellan to New England Warships

Be advised that our possession now also include Dutch Guainía and Nova Brazil.

OCC: Everyone keep posting so we can get the update to the top of the next page.

You heard him EQ.

Well, let's just say that I want controlled political upheaval. My side should come out stronger in the end, when the people see that the opposition is incompetent.

Include this in your possessions! (Bomb attached, please open near your commie dictator)

Ah yes, to kill more space, @Circuit, you realize that the communists are severe minority right and that it's not exactly popular at the moment? Be ready for a fight, heck, let's see if you even get power in the first place.

OCC:

Ok I admit I get messed up with the geography in this game from time to time.

I meant the part of Brazil formerly controlled by Germany. Amazon, Amazonia, whatever it was called before it was liberated.

OOC: I heard the commies suck.

Ah yes, to kill more space, @Circuit, you realize that the communists are severe minority right and that it's not exactly popular at the moment? Be ready for a fight, heck, let's see if you even get power in the first place.

Context? You referring to New France domestically or to the world as a whole? If it's the world as a whole, I think that I should be fearing the UCNA more than the capitalists. They're south of the border!

@Circuit, I meant within New France. Remember that election a while back where the socialists were voted out of power? There's a reason why the country was doing desocialization.

1. The people discovered that the guys who replaced the Socialists were both gluttons and morons.

2. Communists are taking control, not Socialists. And we won't let ourselves be voted out of power.

3. I am a fan of not just Marx but Locke: revolution is important to the well-being of society. A little blood-letting is healthy.

@D'Artagnan59: What? Who?

OOC: I'm not a fan of Marx in RL. And for the record, the French Revolution (in RL) was too much blood-letting for Locke.

Two more posts, people! Two more posts!

When in Rome, have a civil war! It's the Roman way!

Gah! You started a new page!

Well, so much for the fresh page. Might as well say this now.

When in Rome, have a civil war! It's the Roman way!

No, it goes, "When in Rome, kiss up to the French." And that's what we're doing... except to the Mexicans. And by the way, my top imports and exports are still going to Mexico, but Mexico is now the UCNA. That's a little outdated, now.

Yeah, the Imports/Exports are being removed this turn, because it'll save room for stats for about ten more countries, and because they're a pain to update.

Global News Report

ECONOMIC REPORT. Tsarityn, Russian Federation. In the wake of global recession, the world has seen a dramatic surge in consumer spending and economic prosperity. It seems that with the end of a tough market, confidence has skyrocketed as the people of the capitalist world look for new markets and employment. The overnight growth of the moving picture industry seems to have had an effect all of its own as new cities and towns seem to have been reborn from nothing, particularly cities like Odessa and Trabzond. Other new industries in electronics, transportation, and music have also been invented providing new jobs, marking what some economists are calling “the Electric Revolution.” Tough times are definitely closing as what some are calling the Roaring Twenties takes flight. Below, as before, is a listing of this year’s economic changes.

ALGONQUIN ELECTIONS. Fox Falls, Algonquin Nation. The Conservative Party has been swept into office this year in the Algonquin Nation’s elections. The conservatives have denounced the Liberal Party for allowing Virginian troops to be based on Algonquin soil for nearly a year. The conservatives claim that the Liberal Party intended to subjugate the country to the white man once again, and has promised to strengthen national defenses against future invasion. Declaring with communists to the west and imperialists to the east, the Conservative Party has pledged to keep the Algonquin safe against all who would seek to conquer it . (+2 Stability)

TEXAN DOCTORS MAKE INDEPENDENT ADVANCES. Houston, Texan Republic. Independent of pharmaceutical fields in Europe, Texan doctors have made groundbreaking advances in medical technologies. These new advances have the capacity to dramatically extend the average Texan’s lifespan and could well lead to many lives been greatly lengthened. Furthermore, medicine has proven to be even cheaper now that new medical schools are opening and even the lower middle classes can enjoy decent medical treatment.

RADICAL MORMONS ATTEMPT TO SEIZE POWER. Bringhamton, Deseret. A collection of radical conservative Mormons within the Deseret military launched a major bid for power this year. They hoped to reestablish a Mormon theocracy over the state but met with harsh resistance. The democratic government was able to rally moderate Mormons and gentiles alike against the uprising, successfully restoring order after a bloody battle. The country fortunately was spared any further widespread damage, and it seems that the leaders of the conservative uprising have fled the country to unknown destinations. (-5 Infantry Brigades, +1 Stability)

REVOLT SPARKS CIVIL WAR IN NEW FRANCE. New Caen, Republic of New France. A communist takeover within New France has sparked a civil war within that nation. The military and general public have rallied behind the democratic government and have pledged to support the duly elected regime. The communists have secured only a small region near the borders of the United Collectives of North America, leading to some speculation that people within Mexico City could be responsible for the uprising. The army has easily contained the rebels so far and has called for an immediate surrender of the pocket.

INTERNATIONAL SOCIALIST GROUP EXPANDS. Winnipeg, Metis Syndicate. The Metis Syndicate has been admitted to the International Cooperative Socialist Group this year to the surprise of many. The alleged democratic government has been given observer status within the affairs of the Group, and Germany has issued a protest, stating that it goes against previous agreements involving Metis foreign policy. The Kaiser’s government has threatened intervention should the Metis “not turn from the destructive course on which they have embarked.”

NEZ PERCE AGREES TO UCNA UNION. Avig, Nez Perce. The Nez Perce government, after much consideration have agreed to Mexican proposals of admittance into the United Collectives of North America. However, they have asked for a waiting period of two years and a plebiscite to be held among the people in 1923. The Mexican government has not issued its agreement to this proposal, but efforts are already underway to make sure that the plebiscite goes off without a hitch.

DESERET GIVES MASSIVE TAX REFORMS. Bringhamton, Deseret. In the wake of the turmoil of this year, the government of Deseret has seemed to have offered to buy the support of the nation’s people. To an extent the effort has worked, giving people more spending money and possibly beginning a trend which could lead to a stronger economic system within the country.

Central/South American News Report

ECONOMIC FAILURE IN JAMAICA. Kingston, Jamaica. The recent entry of Texas and Louisiana into the Eastern American Customs Union has sparked a major downturn in the nation of Jamaica. The country, based around sugar exports to the Gulf Alliance has had an unfortunate failure as the other countries within that organization turn to cheaper markets in Virginia or Haiti for their sugar supply. The Jamaican government has marked nearly a 50% unemployment rate and the bankruptcy of two of the nation’s five major banks. Inflation has begun skyrocketing and many fear internal unrest and turmoil in the nation’s near future. (-6 Stability, see above economic section on EP change)

TUMULTUOUS ELECTIONS IN PARAGUAY. Asuncion, Paraguay. The recent conclusion of the War of German Expulsion has led to a difficult domestic quandary for the Paraguayan government. The annexation of Bolivia has led some to question whether the residents in the new region will be allowed the voting rights and privileges of proper Paraguayan citizens. The devastation and reconstruction of Bolivia has also turned some head as many are unsure of how to advance. Needless to say the turmoil has led to the collapse of the coalition government which has managed the nation since the last elections. The conservatives have broken loose and have pledged a stable nation while creating “an island of stability among the raging seas of communism.” Though the Conservative Party has not proclaimed outright hostility towards the communist regimes, relations have certainly cooled down. (+1 Stability)

VENEZUELA ELECTIONS. Caracas, Venezuela. The socialist government of Venezuela has once more been ousted by a more conservative coalition party. The Moderate Party has pledged to begin true desocialization of the nation’s economy in an attempt to reintegrate itself with the Caribbean trading region. They hope to improve economic ties with the shipping powerhouses of Haiti and New England, as well as looking more internationally for support as the Socialist Union of South America nearly doubles in size from military conquest. (+1 Stability)

JAMAICA ELECTIONS COLLAPSE. Kingston, Jamaica. The economic collapse and threat of a localized depression have thrown the Jamaican elections into utter chaos. While at the beginning of the year everyone was clearly expecting the Liberal Party to once again secure control of the government, the small island nation suddenly had the existence of over two dozen political organizations. Several communist demonstrations soon sparked elements of the military to realize that order must be restored to prevent an open rebellion. The military stepped in during the electoral process and announced an emergency military regime under General Arthur Rehtu in order to stabilize the nation’s economy and society against leftist elements. (+1 Stability)

UPRISING IN CHILE. Santiago, Chile. A brutal uprising was launched by elements of the military once more in Chile, angered at recent talks with the communist bloc. The nation, long under threat by the socialists to the east, has now reach a critical point within. The Moderate Party leadership seems to be disintegrating as the nation threatens to fall apart. The military led a major part of this recent uprising, hoping to restore conservative and capitalist ideals to Santiago. Loyalist republicans and socialists defended the city, eventually winning a long and brutal urban battle. Similar smaller fights have erupted throughout the country. If a civil war is coming, it doesn’t seem that it’ll have true battle lines but it may be fought through even divided villages and neighborhoods throughout the whole country. (-14 Infantry Brigades, -1 Stability)

COUP ATTEMPT IN CUBA. Havana, Cuba. The Pierre government met its first true internal threat this year as an ambitious general attempted to seize power. The government was able to anticipate this strike and was successfully able to arrest the general before he made his effort. Over a hundred other military officers have also been arrested in connection to the coup, as police round up potential sympathizers against Pierre. The regime has announced that full treason charges will be pressed towards any connected with the coup attempt. (+1 Stability)

UPRISING MARRS GUATEMALA ELECTION. Guatemala City, Guatemala. This year’s elections were well polled and dictated, clearly pointing to a collapse of the Moderate Party. The Conservative Party was the clear winner, leading to a union backed revolt by communists before the elections could be held. The unions were quickly dismantled as the majority of the populace rose in favor of the conservative government. The elections were held even as fighting continued in the slums of the nation, and the people turned out despite communist sponsored intimidation efforts hoping to control the vote and nation. The Conservative Party announced immediate military responses against the unions and most of the nation’s communist party leaders have been rounded up. The communists are stated for a very public trial as the nation denounces their efforts to destabilize the country. (-5 Manpower, +4 Stability)

ANTI-COMMUNISTS RALLY IN SOUTHERN MEXICO. Mexico City, United Collectives of North America. Mexico City erupted in riots this year against the communist government as many rabble rousers make claims of corruption and decadence within the highest orders of the Party. Some have declared this to be a discarding of Catholic traditions and have rallied the faithful against the communist regime. Catholic banditos have been reported throughout the Yucatan and much of southern Mexico. The government has deployed the military to the region. The Catholic Church in Rome has heartily protested the conflict and has issued a request for the Mexican government to recognize the Catholic Church within the country. (-3 Manpower, -1 Stability)

NEW GOVERNMENT IN COLOMBIA. Bogotá, Colombia. The long reigning military leader of Colombia, Cesar Juarez was assassinated this year by an unknown organization. An emergency government was established between two competing parties, the People’s Republic of Colombia (Conservative) and the Colombia Progressive Party (Liberal). The Progressive Party won the elections in a landslide, promising lower taxes to the average person and education reform within the country. Time will tell whether Colombia’s new leadership and government will be up to the challenge of defending their new democracy from encroaching imperialists and communists. (+4 Stability)

A NEW ORDER IN SOUTH AMERICA. Rio de Janeiro, Socialist Union of South America. The nations of the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany have all recognized recent communist victories in South America over the united European forces. All three powers have signed a treaty forever forfeiting territorial claims in South America, though Caribbean colonies have been protected by the new agreement. The imperial possessions in South America have been divided among the victorious nations. The war-torn nation of Bolivia has been directly annexed by the nation of Paraguay, which has promised to bring new stability to the country. German Amazonia has been annexed back into the Socialist Union of South America. The former nation of Buenos Aires has surrendered to the La Plata Republic to create the newly united Argentine Collectives Federation. The division of Dutch Guyana has raised much anger in Mexico City, as the UCNA occupies the western part, and a large number of opposition leaders have claimed that this is an attempt by the government to create a new empire. They have claimed that the UCNA should be freeing people from imperialism, not placing them into slavery under a different name.

EL SALVADOR WAR. San Salvador, El Salvador. Fighting has continued in Central America as the El Salvadorian military has continued its advance into Honduras. In response the Honduran government has rallied the masses to its defense. Waves of troops have been thrown against the invaders’ lines, bringing them to a standstill just outside of Tegucigalpa. Heavy casualties and fighting have been reported across the theater, as thousands die not just from warfare, but disease as well. The Red Cross has announced the opening of stations in San Salvador and Tegucigalpa in order to ease the pain of civilians hurt by the conflict, but they have been tied down by local government restrictions.

NEW LABOR LAWS IN TRANSYLVANIA. Blaj, Transylvania. The government of Transylvania has formally announced recognition of the nation’s unions as legitimate economic and political organizations. This was soon followed by the passing of protection of labor reform and minimum wage laws. The president of the republic has proclaimed that “the time of the aristocrat and landlord is at an end, the twentieth century shall be the age of the people.”

ELECTION SURPRISE IN DENMARK. Copenhagen, Danish Empire. To no one’s surprise the Dansk Fremskridtspartiet managed to once again secure full control of the Danish government. However, in the province of Iceland a surprise turnout in favor of independence occurred. The populace has voted overwhelmingly for the Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn, which has promised to gain the island its independence from the Danish monarchy. The party has already proposed a bill which will completely ensure the sovereignty and independence of the island state, and has offered to even maintain some loose political ties with Denmark as a limited protectorate status. The debate has raged throughout the halls as some liberals argue in favor of decentralization, but many have declared that to give up any of the empire would mean the death of all of it and have staunchly opposed such moves for Iceland.

PORTUGAL ELECTIONS. Lisbon, Portugal. The Portuguese government had heated elections this year as international politics dominated the domestic stage. The Portuguese people, fearful over communist victories in the Americas and recent forays into Africa, have elected a Conservative majority, breaking the coalition government which has led the nation. The new conservative government has pledged to emulate the successes of the French regime, to reign in communism within Portugal as well as assisting the Co-Axial Pact in fighting communism abroad. (-1 Stability)

REVOLT IN ENGLAND. London, England. Though many of Parliament’s former leaders have rested under house arrest for the past eight years since the body’s dissolution, they have not been idle. Members of Parliament have been rallying support within the military and among the masses waiting for the right chance for a new regime. The collapse of the German government has given the English republicans and democratic supporters their opportunity. Simultaneous uprisings were launched throughout the main cities of southern England as leaders of the military declared their support for Parliament. Parliament has reformed within London as the king flees north, and has issued a multitude of demands. They have demanded that the king abdicate in favor of his son, Henry, known to be more sympathetic to the cause of the common man. They have also demanded that the new monarch give up all previous power in favor of a strong legislative government along the lines of the Russian Federation. The nation stands at the brink, and many await to see if the King will accept the demands or push the nation to civil war.

CATHOLIC UPRISING IN ULSTER. Dublin, Ulster. The victory over the southern Irish in the recent civil war has not been without cost for the island of Ireland. The Catholic population of Dublin has risen in what many are calling the “Easter Uprising” as it took place over the Easter weekend. The Protestant military was called out and the city soon erupted into flames. The government used artillery and naval power to crush Catholic strongholds, demolishing whole neighborhoods to restore order. The Dublin rebellion was crushed and the Protestants have once again asserted their control over Ireland. (-4 Infantry Brigades)

ITALIAN SENATE VOTES IN REFORM. Rome, Republic of Italy. The Italian Senate has announced that they are lifting term restriction for the reigning President, in order for him to be able to run once again for election in 1923. The popular president has reigned for two terms already and has been considered to be a military and domestic hero of the Italian nation. This has passed amid a rise of nostalgia towards the Roman Empire and recent talk about the possible creation of a new Roman Empire once again. The president has even been raised above recent unrest regarding the miserable failure of the Project Roads.

ITALIAN PROJECT FAILS. Naples, Republic of Italy. A long term Italian project, lasting over five years has met with terrible failure. The plan was to create a modern road network for the automobile. Though the roads have seen some usage, they have not been enough to create new employment. All those who had been employed in the creation of the road system have been laid off and unemployment has dramatically increased in the wake of a nation-wide recession. The Italian economy as a whole seems to once more be on the brink of a depression. (-2 Stability, economic losses are already mentioned above)

NEW VIGILANTE BREAKS CRIME RING IN KIEV. Kiev, Russian Federation. A new costumed vigilante has followed in the wake of the successes of the Silver Horseman and Hooded Justice. The Silk Shadow has made headlines in the city of Kiev, breaking up a notorious prostitution ring and criminal organization. Her efforts as the world’s first female costumed hero have not gone unnoticed by the global media, which have finally begun to caught on to the rising trend of masked vigilantism which seems to be sweeping across Europe.

SWEDEN ANNOUNCES NEW GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS. Stockholm, Swedish Empire. The Swedish government announced the completion this year of the economic recovery project which has since turned into a domestic welfare project. This program, having been begun at the start of the recession, has now marked the onset for a new era for the Swedish people. Full and open health care is now being provided to all Swedish citizens with the banked funds provided from the taxes gathered during the economic recovery program. This has been met with much support from the nation’s unions who believe this to be a strong step forward for the welfare of the Swedish people.

GERMAN CIVIL WAR. Berlin, Germany. Despite the initial lack of reports from the German Empire, it is clear that the German Civil War has continued with much ferocity. The republic has seized the city of Hamburg after a major battle south of the city, and a warrant has been put out for the arrest of known monarchist Hooded Justice, though it is believed that the citizens are hiding him from republican authority. The republicans have begun closing in on Berlin as the Kaiser’s government deploys forces even abroad to hold territories against foreign invasion.

Republican Germany: 9 Infantry Brigades

PERSIA CONFIRMS CONSTITUTION. Tehran, Persia. The Persian government has at last declared an end to the civil war and infighting in the wake of the death of the president last year. A new constitution has been confirmed and a collection of moderates have united the majority in a single government. The Moderate Party has confirmed its intentions to rebuild Persian military power in the wake of the disastrous Suez War and the following conflicts. The Persian military and economy are the focus of the new government, which has pledged not to rock the boat with social change in favor of strengthening the nation’s position in the global community. (+3 Stability)

BALUCHESTAN ELECTIONS. Zahedan, Baluchestan. Foreign politics came to the forefront of this year’s Baluchestan elections, as the Conservative Party played off fears of Persian intervention. The Conservative Party has claimed that the new government in Persia plans to restore their political power over the states which emerged in the aftermath of the Suez War. With opposing parties having little sway with the military, the conservatives clearly dominated the elections promising a strong Baluch military against all outside threats. (+1 Stability)

FRENCH INTERCEPT COMMUNIST ARMS. Algiers, French Empire. The French government has announced that a large number of Mexican smugglers have been arrested and executed for attempting to smuggle arms into French Africa. The French government announced that it was notified by kind natives who had been contacted by communist rabble rousers. The French have considered this a further act of communist perfidy and have continued to pledge to fight communism on all fronts.

WAR IN CHINA HAS EFFECTS. Lanzhou, Republic of China. After over twenty years of unceasing warfare, the Chinese militaries have seen effects. Veteran soldiers of both Republican China and Communist China have seen incredible amounts of modern warfare which they have passed on in training to new recruits. Never in modern history has a single nation maintained a status of total war and mobilization for so long, and the war in China, even with the events of this year, seems no where close to turning. (+1 Army Quality for Republican and Communist Chinas)

NAVAL RESTRICTIONS AT AN END ON KOREA. Seoul, Korean Empire. The treaties concluding Korea’s first intervention into China have begun coming to an end as naval restriction deadlines passed this year. The Korean navy is no longer limited in the amounts of ships they are allowed to possess in their fleet. Whether or not this marks the onset of a new naval buildup remains to be seen, particularly with the recent naval victories over the communists off the Chinese coast.

COUP ATTEMPT IN GUANGXI. Ghangzhou, Guangxi. Republican soldiers were caught attempting to instigate a coup in the nation of Guangxi. The warlord there, though he has been declining in popularity managed to catch the attempt well beforehand. The Republican soldiers were ambushed, encircled, and utterly destroyed in their effort. Though recently his support base has been deteriorating, the warlord of Guangxi has aptly used this event to rally his generals behind him once again, portraying this effort as a sign of the perfidy of the republican regime and runaway leftist tendencies. This has given a new life to his public support, ensuring a more stable government in the province. (-15 Infantry Brigades, 3 Armored Car Brigades for Republican China; -6 Infantry Brigades and +6 Stability for Guangxi)

RUSSIA CEDES LAND TO UCC. Peking, Union of Chinese Collectives. With the recent years’ defeats at the hands of the Chinese communists, the Russian Federation has ceded control of the territories taken from the imperial government to the Union of Chinese Collectives. This includes the ancient capital of Peking, which has given some legitimacy to the communist government in the eyes of the people of China. The plebiscite held in the region overwhelmingly supported the Chinese government, and has granted some major support for the communist regime, as volunteers flood in from Russian Manchuria. (+1 Stability, +50 Manpower for UCC; -1 EP, -50 Manpower for Russia)

WAR IN CHINA. Yancheng, Union of Chinese Collectives. The communists have managed to score an impressive victory against the republican armies this year. The Battle of the Yellow River involved small warships of both the communists and republicans, and through numbers, the communists emerged victorious. The ships were then able to destroy the main bridges and constantly maraud the main cross-river shipping points for the republican army. This was followed by a massive assault by the communists on republican forces north of the Yellow River. The republicans withdrew what they could to the south where they launched another offensive against smaller communist forces. However, the defeat in the north and communist control of the rivers has clearly inhibited republican advances, limiting the territory they have been able to reestablish control over. Despite the drawbacks, the republicans have managed to drive east, threatening to secure control over the most populous regions of China. Another battle was fought in the north where the republicans attempted a river crossing, meeting with such heavy apparent resistance, that they withdrew the offensive after a large number of casualties were reported with no gain. In the southeast, other major fights occurred as Guangxi pressed against the forces of Fujian. Some talk has even been raised about the aristocracy of Fujian recognizing the warlord of Guangxi as the true successor to the imperial throne.
Casualty List
Republican China: 55 Infantry Brigades, 6 Cavalry Brigades, 6 Artillery Brigades, 3 Tank Brigades, 1 Monitor, 3 Destroyers, 1 Zeppelin Bomber Squadron
Italy: 4 Infantry Brigades
Communist China: 95 Infantry Brigades, 6 Artillery Brigades, 3 Tank Brigades, 3 Monitors, 1 Destroyer, 6 Submarines
Guangxi: 16 Infantry Brigades
Fujian: 14 Infantry Brigades, 6 Cavalry Brigades

CRISIS OF THE CHINESE COAST. Jeju, Republic of New England. With the aid of New Englander crews, the Korean Empire has scored a major victory over the communists supporting the Union of Chinese Collectives. A massive communist convoy was spotted headed north of the Philippines, just barely within New Englander waters. The convoy consisted of SUSA troop ships and Mexican destroyers. The New Englander 7th Fleet destroyers made sure that the Koreans were aware of the convoy’s course and position until ships came to intercept. Two Korean dreadnoughts made short work of the Mexican escort and the SUSA troop ships. It is estimated that over ninety thousand communist soldiers may now rest at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, making the fight one of the bloodiest naval battles in Asian history. The Korean navy won another easy victory when Russian dreadnoughts taken by the communist Chinese were once again intercepted and destroyed. The Chinese crews, poorly trained and with no experience, were easily outmatched and destroyed by the Korean fleet.
Casualty List
Communist China: 1 Destroyer, 3 Dreadnoughts
UCNA: 12 Destroyers
SUSA: 30 Infantry Brigades

Jean the Great
Genre: Comedy

This movie parodies the life and times of Louisiana’s first homegrown emperor, pointing out flaws within his government and the inherent corruption of the Empire of Louisiana. AMERICAN CUP: FOOTBALL. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The first annual American cup game was held this year in the city of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Steelmen defeated the Richmond Cavaliers with six points to five in a pitched game. The cup has gone to the Steelmen football team, gaining honors and recognition across the country for their defeat of the Virginian team.

EUROPEAN CUP: FOOTBALL. Copenhagen, Danish Empire. Though war has stopped the participation of German teams in the European Cup, games have continued in Europe nonetheless. Several participating teams, even from outside of the founders of the European Alliance of Nations, have entered and done rather well. In a heated game in Copenhagen, the Football Club de Paris defeated the Copenhagen Football Club in a runaway game of eight points to a mere three points for the Danish. The French have therefore won the fourth European cup championship.

FIRST PURPOSE-BUILT RACETRACK COMPLETED. Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgian government and the Ku Klux Klan have sponsored the construction of the Atlanta National Speedway, the first purpose built automobile racetrack. The Georgian government has stated its intentions to use this track not just for entertainment purposes but for official business as well. Automotive testing and sales and Olympic qualifications will all be held at this state of the art race track. Similar construction has begun in Ottawa, where Canadian engineers have modeled after this design in preparation for the 1928 Olympic event.

@flyingchicken: I still don’t see how the Axis has submarines 2 or even oil power for that matter. I have seen no confirmation of any trade which would allow ya’ll to have it. Therefore money spent on MR Subs was banked.

Armored Cars and Zeppelins are now considered common knowledge due to mass proliferation.

@Milarqui: We’ve discussed your question before, and the answer remains a probable yes, though if something were to change in the first country you mentioned, or a hostile
power was to say, claim them, you may be justified in adding them to your protectorate.

@Circuit: I have a number of problems with your story. First of all, the Socialists were elected into power and the nation was never a communist one. Communism as a violent revolution never reached popular proportions.

@communists: I know what you’re thinking of doing next year. The problems you had this year are nothing if you don’t heed my earlier warnings.
