"From the valley of the Schuykill, to the meeting of the 3 great rivers of the Ohio River Valley, a beautiful, pristine land remains peopled by equally rough, and hardy men and women. For too long has Pennsylvania been forgotten by the nations of the world, shadowed by great Northern and Southern neighbors. For too long have Pennsylvanians forgotten what it is to be a Great Nation. For too long the boots of mediocre consistancy stepped on the hands of the great that attempted to climb to the top. Yet, as I stand before ye of the mighty Pennsylvanian nation, I see not a battered, forgotten people. Rather, I see a new, untapped potential.
Philadelphia, home of the American revolution, has long ago been overshadowed by it's brother to the west, Pittsburgh, home of our revolution. Such things happen with the passing of time. Pittsburgh is the industrial capital of Pennsylvania. Long diminished since the revolution, Pittsburgh has toiled in being a city content to be nothing more but a city. Yet, Pittsburgh can be much more. Pittsburgh can be a port, a gateway to the west. Pittsburgh can be the world's supplier of steel. Which makes me wonder why it currently isn't? Why has Pittsburgh, the once shining light of the west been dimmed? Why have Pennsylvanians, the inventors of practical electricity, steam engines, and steel foundries been stifled from truly reaching their potential?
Pittsburgh will be rebuilt. It's steel production will once again equal that of the rest of the world combined. Trade throughout the Ohio River Valley will bring people and commerce to the capital. Pittsburgh's wealth will be the envy of the rest of the world, equalled by none.
Our Empire is one of steel. If our people is what makes this nation great, certainly our hardwork, dillegence, and our steel nerves are what makes our people great. Pennsylvania, I promise you, that the economy of our nation will double within the next 5 years. Our fields in the central valley will once again experience full harvest, as Philadelphia, Erie, and of course Pittsburgh will become global trade hubs. But Pennsylvania, I can not do this alone. Every member of the Commonwealth is expected to do his and her duty to ensure that Pennsylvania isn't just a nation, but a great nation. Our people needn't be strong. Our people must be steel."
