A New Dawn Beta Builds

One question, are there any new tags from the 1.73 beta to the official 1.73? for UnitInfos; LeaderheadInfos; BuildingInfos? and have those related schema files have any changes?; Also in the to do list, the UN/Civic being look into from Total war? what was the decision on that?

I've updated the Modder's guide, and the schema's and files on the SVN should be up to date. Yes, there are several new modifiers for techs, buildings, and promotions.

this may have already been covered, but... is there a function for reducing culture? culture goes up, but does it ever drift down?

a very very interesting thought indeed. no i didn't see any mechanism in the game to reduce culture. except fighting...

idea! why shouldn't winning fights just reduce enemy culture instead of adding your own. same for pillaging. it still helps to gain cultural dominance in conquered territory (you need to produce less culture to overcome the foreign one) but no overpowered way like it works now. still any losses to culture due to fighting should be static and never perceptual.

Difficulty Bug:

I'm playing a game with 139, ( which was started with 138 ). In the starting game option, I choose Monarch difficulty, but in the game, I feel a little weird, then I check the the production of Taj Mahal in an enemy's city, the count of hammers needed is 883, and I need 1260. So the AI has 60% construction percentage. It's should be the percentage in the Deity difficulty.

The Flexible Difficulty is turned off. I tried to turn it on, and set the max/min difficulty to Monarch, turns increment by 1, but nothing happend.

P.S. Why I can't see the settings screen by click the fist icon now?

I don't think that is a bug. Does the AI have the Industrious trait? That gives 50% boost. Add the 10% from Monarch, and that sounds correct.

What?

I have the same problem, here is a screen.

Edit:
And this is with 1.73A.

What?

Eh, I want to say the thing just as same as The Exile reported, Missing Settings screen and so on.

About the Difficulty bug, I started a new game and watch AI by Ctrl+Z all the time. The difficulty at the begining is right, but after a few turns, the difficulty has been changed ( improved ). For example, at the begining, they can build a worker by 81 hammers ( 90% percentage is the right value under the Monarch difficulty, I need 90 hammers ), but a few turns after, they just only need 79 hammers. And I turn off the Flexible Difficulty all the time!

And for the AI which has Industrious trait, they don't have a reduced total hammers, they only get an addtional 50% production multipler.

That's impossible, the AI's difficulty can't change; there's an "isHuman" check on Flexible Difficulty.

Confirmed and fixed the victory screen bug. It's actually a BTS bug that Firaxis missed... wow.

Patch B in a few hours, fixing that and the issue with some pink icons.

Oh, CTRL+Z and other automated turns do weird things. Make sure it's not that. I used auto-turn (CTRL+SHIFT+X) for a bit when testing a OCC game recently to make sure it was stable after a couple hundred turns; when I got back to the computer I found my OCC actually building settlers and making new cities :D A bit of an exploit, eh whot! :goodjob:

Allowing the AI to take over actually disables the human check, so the game thinks you are an AI, and so it can build settlers, etc.
