Only thing I can think of is the Culture Linked Starts or whatever gameoption that one is.

Awesome!

Only started up a few weeks back. Nice to see the old guard returning, and all the new faces. ;)

I'll look into #1. #2 has been fixed since Beta 2.

I should mention that I didn't just remove the game option and make it manditory. I'm not crazy.

I re-balanced it a bit. Authoritarian civics (Despotism, Monarchy, Fascism, Intolerant) are the only civics that will give fixed borders. Democratic societies will be influenced by culture, but not authoritarian regimes, which I felt was more realistic.

So no fixed borders in a modern non-Authoritarian society? Not sure I think that is realistic. Wouldn't that imply for instance the USA border might take a few tiles from Canada or Mexico over the last 50 years (or vice versa).

I would think there would still be fixed borders, but the high culture influence on a city within another country would dramatically increase revolution of the city. So the border would be fixed but the politics would get chaotic for the city struggling against the culture. Or maybe tiles became less productive.

I personally enjoyed the fixed borders option, although I posted long ago that the one aspect that I thought was poorly implemented was the rule that every tile around the city was automatically considered within the border of a fixed border civ. This gave exploitable ability to settle a city near another civ's border and grab a bunch of land even on a highly cultured spot (with other civ also having fixed border civic even) without even pissing off the AI of the other civ.

Where are these at? And did you change any python around?

Interesting! That changes a lot of things.

Caste and Divine Cult now seem a very interesting option : with slaves, you don't need :gp:, and all the extra :c5happy: given by Divine Cult helps with the :c5angry:, plus you can use Monarchy for extra :c5happy:.
Although I fear a little bit that this now might be the only best way to play the early game... You have to get off Tribal ASAP if you want your cities to grow at a decent rate, and Despotism seems to be only good if you want to focus heavily on your capital or for an early military rush...

Is there an easy way to create a patch upgrading from one SVN version to another?

I would assume the problem in the python code but I couldn't find the lines where the errors caused in the EventHandlers...

Post the error message (but FYI, most errors are due to a corrupted download).

OK i figured out what was wrong in the Custom Map area starting locations problem (I hope), BUG Team used the OLD BugMapOptionsTab (or whom ever) so here is the newer one.

EDIT: Too which option has this: LOW_PLAYER_DROPPED? http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=10588347&postcount=3803

EDIT: EDIT: Where is the Great General stuff at? At this time it isn't working?? (The points are not moving down, and i dont have Dynamic XP on either. I looked at GGUtil.py and thats not the problem?

Low player drop is a gameoption. Check to disable it for your next game.

Great General Points are controlled by the DLL - what isn't working?

I dont have low player checked, but it always tell me low player deleted anyways. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=10588347&postcount=3803

EDIT: I didnt have the latest GameOptionInfo ingame, sorry, i will now put it in and check it out.

EDIT EDIT: OK used the NEW dll, and at least now the low player has stopped, i am on turn 76 used to be every 50?

OK past 110 working ok now.

Also before, i believe, it used to be one kill, one point, for the Great General, now its SOMETIMES 1 for 1, and then sometimes it 2 for 1:crazyeye:

EDIT EDIT EDIT: When you fixed the forest, did it also add in Mountains, cause i have two (maybe one) new mountain(s) in my map, that were never there before??

i just moved my civ4 folder from program files to my games folder and it did help.

i remember, you mentioned, that mathematics increases archer strength by 1, but i didn't get that in my last game.

Getting a crash as of beta4 whenever I shift+ctrl click on anything (cheat mode's on, so it might be an entry in the unit list causing it to crash). Pretty sure this didn't happen in beta3.

You also can't use WorldEditor since beta3 I guess.
In my case I open up the editor (works fine) and switch to change terrain the game crashes -.-
