The Solution:

2009: Everyone in the Middle East gets over their ******** ethic nationalisms and their willingness to kill for their respective superstitions and work to promote mutual economic development. Peace ensues.

Hmmm.... this is a very biased look at things (I can tell because of your use of the word "liberated")... and the truth is, that there is no realistic solution. Maybe sometime im the future when people begin to accept things like Israel isn't going away and such, but for now, nothing. Trying to find a solution to this is like trying to find a solution to China and Tibet, or North Korea and South Korea, India and Pakistan etc. etc.

I say we firebomb the Middle East.

In words quoted from another thread, if they want to be treated as humans, they should act as such.

I'm with Bananalee, of course Zheng He must be consulted first!

No doubt he'd approve. Why else would he discover America, India, Africa and the South Pole, start the Renaissance in Europe and completely forget about the Middle East?

Our Lawd Zheng He hath forsaken the Middle East.

Israel has won all wars it has fought in, including the Six-Day War, which was actually started by the plotting of its neighbors; Israel struck preemptively.

Liberated?

Liberated?

More like started by miscommunication. Both sides believe an attack by the other was imminent. Israel struck just as Nasser was reconsidering his own plan for a pre-emptive strike.

Hmm, yeah...it sounds your pro-Arab, and I hate to say it, but the conflicts in the Middle East will end when the Arabs calm down.

From Yes Prime Minister:

"I gather we're planning to vote against Israel in the UN tonight."
"Of course."
"Why?"
"They bombed the PLO."
"But the PLO bombed Israel!"
"Yes but the Israelis dropped more bombs than the PLO did!"

Nuke it. All of it.

A small correction for the slightly ignorant:

1973 - Arab-Israeli War (Started by Arabs, and liberated Sinai and parts of the Golan)

While some Egyptian forces really managed to survive (completely surrounded and at the mercy of Israel) in a small coastal strip of the Sinai peninsula which they didn't hold at the start of the war, Israeli forces crossed the Suez Canal and were stationed a mere 100km from Cairo.

In Syria, not only that all the of the Golan Heights were retaken, but the IDF was on the advance and Damascus was within reach.

Allow me to summarize the TC's thoughts in a few words.

There will be peace in the Levant just as soon as the Jews cease trying to implement the protocols of the elders of Zion.

You know, the guy who first exposed the "Protocols" as a fake has a pretty cool name.

1. Israstine
2. Annexation of Shia Iraq, Qatar, Lasha, and Bahrain into Iran, Iraqi Sunni state into Syria, Iraqi Kurd state
3. 2 state solution
4. Annexation of Nagarno-Karabah into Armenia. Azerbaijan annexed to Iran.

Behold I have solved them all!
