A solution to the whole Eastern Europe dilemma

This is all very well, but you need north and south europe lines overlapping the East/West divide. Mediteraean Europe is generally considered to be south europe, not west europe, as are the balkans (well south-east). Scandinavia is clearly north europe, not west or east europe.

I've studied several cultural sources* and established the following as the definitive European divisions:

Geologically speaking half of Iceland is on the North American plate.

Yeah, that's why it's almost never used when determining the geographical centre of Europe (Which is somewhere in Poland, Lithuania, or Belarus)

look, this is not about geography.

poor ex-communist slavs are eastern european and will always be.
that includes poland and the czech republic, the last time i checked.

So Iceland is not in Europe? This is huge! We can blame America for the volcano too!

Yeah they're culturally eastern european. You can tell because they hate freedom and like Americans.

I see you guys are still beating this meme to it's grave.

The problem with flat maps is that the earth is round. You will never get the correct center of Europe with a flat map.

Also including Iceland is stupid. I can include Siberia if you can include Iceland.

I realize Mirc is having uni exams right now, but I am going to send him a PM asking for the post he made where he got the actualy center of Europe.

Also, since when Europe ended at Kazakhstan borders? I thought the universal definition was the Ural mountains.

European Culturally, European Geologically, not European geographically.

The Volcano is in the Eurasian half.

And the Germans too! :D

If those Slavs wanted to be Central European they should have remained second-class citizens to the superior people and their respective empires (Germans and Austrians.)

Moderator Action: It is becoming apparent that the position of Poland relative to the rest of Europe is not a subject that can be discussed here, not without quickly turning into spam and flaming. Thread closed.
