A Team PBEM?

GPS .

Spoiler :
-1910 – Nothing much happens. The town of MrEdTon founded by the horse (of course, of course), starts a worker. Philosophy due next turn – Feaurius has told me he is in dire straits with 4 immortals on his doorstep, so his research is off. I need to get out of Despotism ASAP – my agricultural trait is useless in Desp. with no fresh water. I think I will take Polytheism as my free tech, then research Monarchy – with no fresh water, I don’t see Republic being economical anytime soon. We clear 40% of the world’s population. On the IBT, my warrior kills a barb and gets promoted to veteran.

Dialogue
Hey buddy,

Any idea when Polytheism will be completed? You don't seem too excited by
the Monarchy slingshot (and that's fine), but I'm trying to work out if I
should pick something to trade for Polytheism to research Monarchy or if I
should head to Republic.

Thanks, and good luck slaughtering those stinking immortals.

4!? Ouch... sorry to hear that. I knew he was attacking, but I thought
from your previous emails that it wasn't quite that bad. How the heck did
Mel manage to get 4 immortals already?!

May the RNG and classical_hero grant you much luck in your battles. If you
can hold him off now, I assure you that I will help you get vengeance later.

Spoiler :

My Golden age has started. I will use it to either a) build the piramids or b) settler spam the continent (now that fe is using less of it).

Sent to fe3333au (twice since hotmail seems to be having trouble...)

Spoiler :
-1870 – Complete Philosophy, pick Polytheism. Complete Polytheism, start Monarchy. Salamanca completes settler, starts settler. Our people want the Forbidden Palace. Debberland completes worker, starts Forbidden Palace – whatever the people want, they get. Monarchy is 27 turns away at –1 gpt. My military is strong compared to azza and fe. I am up to 42% of the world’s population. On the IBT I defeat another barb.

Back to Team America.

Spoiler :
-1830 – Rebedia completes worker, starts barracks. I am back to average compared to azza. Not much to report – still haven’t found Meleager… Feaurius’ power curve is UGLY. Full update with pictures at turn 50 (this was turn 48) or when I meet Mel, whichever comes first…

The save i recieved from the egyptians wasn't capitalised  Now my file list of saves doesn't look as neat

Fe, have I weakend your resistance that much?

Spoiler :
-1790 – Phlobodia completes worker, starts barracks. Feaurius appears to have lost his capital It may actually have happened earlier, but I notice his capital on F11 is now Wurmie Turn – this is the first time I’ve noticed that. Interestingly enough, I am still #1 in manufactured goods – I’m assuming Mel is in his Golden Age, so I guess he either doesn’t have much population, or he has a lot of unimproved tiles. Town of Whoopie! founded, starts barracks. I found iron! It’s in the far north by my furs, so I will have no trouble claiming it before azza. There are also 2 more goody huts up there.

Spoiler For Lurkers :

The Continent is MINE! ALL MINE!!

My (despotic) golden age is in progress, I have begun building the Piramids in my capitol. My civilization will now go into full settler spam mode. Having this continent to myself is a huge advantage. I may have just won the game.

GPS

GPS to... azzaman :egypt: RIP Feaurius - we hardly knew ya.:salute:

Spoiler lurkers :

-1750 – It appears Feaurius is gone. His leaderhead no longer appears on F4, and his score is no longer in the upper right. RIP Feaurius. The good news is I was paying him 1 gpt. So Meleager has a continent to himself. Now I will have to make a decision regarding whether to cooperate with azza and gang up on Meleager (the greater threat) or to try to kill azza quickly and make it a battle of behemoths. Nothing will happen immediately – I will see how strong azza looks once I get to Monarchy. At least Mel apparently burned his Golden Age in despotism with few cities.

I consider popping the huts with settlers – I could definitely guard them until I get settlers up there, but since they are in the tundra, I won’t be settling there for a while, so I take my chances with a warrior… and I get barbs.

My curragh continues charting the coastline, but Mel is apparently not watching the coast. I have taken the lead in Victory Points for the first time all game.

My vitals:

9 towns covering 96 tiles (first in land area)
16 total citizens (43% of world population – 1st, azza has 24% (9 citizens), so with Fe eliminated, that leaves 33% for Mel (12 citizens))
11 workers
2 curraghs
1 regular spear
5 regular warriors
1 veteran warrior (average compared to azzaman).

Currently building:

1 Forbidden Palace
4 barracks
1 settler
3 workers

Up Warrior Code, Writing, Philosophy, and Polytheism on azzaman.

On the IBT, I watch azzaman’s warrior successfully kill a barb, then my warrior does the same.

Welcome to Lurker Heaven, Feaurius!

The view from up here is great. I hope you take some time to read up on everyone's history. Some people's are more complete than others, but it's a rewarding way to spend an hour :)

You time below was cut short, but now you can watch and laugh from up here...
