A useful mod if someone would make it

It would be a great help if someone could make a mod that allowed one to run Civ 6 directly from the desktop, or Steam. This 2K launcher is at best a time-wasting irritant, and at worst a source of crashes. I am finding it often crashes even before Civ 6 has loaded.

An interesting thing: when I resumed playing Civ 6 after a year's absence, one thing I found was that clicking on "Resume game" reliably caused a crash - every time. Now that I can circumvent the launcher, "Resume game" works as it should. So the launcher really is a source of crashes.
