Abandon/Starve Cities

How do you guys starve and/or abandon a city?

Like, for example Ansar the King just took a city as Carthage but it was in a bad spot and he needed another city of his own so he put one right next to it. So, he starved the city eh captured and later it was off the map.

Can anybody help me out here?

Make everyone be specialists, and have no one work the land.

The city has to finish producing a worker or settler when it is size 1 and has no surplus food. You will then be given an option to abandon the city.

Can anybody help me out here?

You have three options:
1. Select "Raze the city" when you capture it.
2. Right-click on a city and selet "Abandon city" from the context menu.
3. Build a settler when the city has only one ortwo pop left and is not growing. Same for worker and pop of one.
