Yep, I tend to see the same avatars displayed and already have an idea of the response, if it's something where people play their roles correctly.
Besides, there are some among you that have avatars that really stand out. Like Birdjaguar's!

People usually get default Civ avatars (this being a civ forum). And then in off-topic, they see that everyone is different. So they want to distinguish themselves by doing something everyone else does

If I wasn't scared of volcanoes or global warming submerging the Hawaiian Islands I'd totally move to Honolulu. Check their climate out, could it possibly be any more awesome, except maybe taking off 1" of rain per month?

The only advice I can give you is to stay away from western New York. Unless you really like 7' of snow a winter, and at least 1' in early spring.
