I saw a doc about it today...did you know it was tricked?

The CIA HAD PLACED mikes in everyone's mikes.

Haiti,Liberia and the Phillipines were against but the USA bought the vote of the Phillipines and Haiti with aids and the boss of Firestone threatened Liberia to invest somewhere else and as tyres were a big industry in Liberia...

France was asked to vote for...a letter was written to Leon Blum, who was jewish.

Makes no difference today...

What I mean is that it was a failure. Something else should've happened. I really don't know what, but something else... Israel should have been created in Palestine, but obviously that way wasn't good.

I remember an interesting conspiracy theory on the issue.

Rockfeller had a lot of influence in South America, but he also cooperated with the Nazis in WW2.
Before the UN vote, he was blackmailed by Israeli intelligence agents who had documents proving his connection to the Nazis and was forced to convince the SA nations to vote for the creation of Israel.

I don't know... perhaps the largest mistake in the state planning was that those powers who planned the state didn't care about the Palestinians for a single moment.
Well, they did, but they did when it was too late.

Palestinians got much more land than the Israelis.

Anyway Israel was created bevause we've won in our independence war, not because of the UN decision, which basicly didn't do anything.

No, it's correct that the UN erred. But could they have done something better? I don't know a solution that would have worked out better, but the one they decided upon certainly didn't work.
Perhaps they should have counted on a united state, and enforced that decision? That would mean no Jewish state, but perhaps things would have gone different...

I'm not saying that's what they should have done, I'm just wondering, what would have been better?

If what everyone has said is true (that the USA bribed countries into voting for a Jewish State) then it doesnt show off very well about the humanity of the world. why not have a small Jewish state in palestine. after the British promised us that in the Balfour declaration, after 2000 years of persecution in other countries where we tried to make a living for ourselves but constantly harrassed by anti-semitism, and most of all after the Holocaust when 6 million jews were murdered. was this not a clear enough way of showing to the world that the Jews need to live in their own country with their own government.
whats also sad is how even after the holocaust the world felt no remorse and as you guys have speculated the United States(Israel's only friend in the world) had to Bribe countries into agreeing to give the jews a place to live instead of rotting in refuggee camps in europe, when we couldnt return to OUR rightfull homes in our respective towns- Krakow, Warsaw, Cologne etc.....non jews had taken them over.
why does most of the world hate us. ever since the state of Israel was established the world now hates Israel using the excuse that we persecute the palestinians(what a load of B*** Sh**)we treat them far better than the Jordanians and egyptians did(when they occupied the west bank and gaza), why were there no calls for a palestinian state then......ill tell you why, because the Jordanians and Egyptians suppressed free speech and didnt let the palestinians have a decent education. when we occupied the territorys we wanted to trade with the palestinians, we built up their infurstructure, allowed them to have education, gave them self rule in some parts of the territorys, and even offered them a state (the other arab governments never offered them a state!).we hold no grudges no bitterness, all we want is to be left alone, but we feel a sense i isolation from the rest of the world.
i recall that in Israel's early days as a state the UN passed a vote proclaiming that ''Zionism is Racism''. again this is a load of B*** Sh**. can someone please explain to me how the hell that is the case. i think a big problem is that 70% of states in the UN are arab and i think arab politicians automatically vote against Israel as a matter of principal, no matter what the issue. i live in Israel and EVERY single person i talk to wants peace, only good things for the palestinians, we also want them to have a good life. but what people dont understand is that Israel cannot stand by and do nothing while nearly EVERY DAY there is a suicide bombing (killing at least a few people and injuring dozens) or killing of jewish civilians. as long as the palestinian leadership does nothing to crack down on terrorists operating in their territory we have no choice but to go into the territorys and root out terror ourselves. the outside world think we like doing this.........B*** Sh**. Our government sends soldiers into the firing line with a very heavy heart, knowing that somewere along the lines a soldier aged 19 or 20 could be killed and that the mother of that soldier will have to be told, these soldiers arnt like the soldiers in most armies (which are proffesional armies-with soldiers in their 30s) our army has kids who were conscripted at the age of 18 and know that they must play their part in ensuring the survival of our state, israeli soldiers are boys aged 19 or 20,( there not killers like the palestinians like saying) who have the hardest job in the world. no other country in the world would do nothing while terrorist attacks are being launched daily at its civilian population. Russia attacked Chechnya in a full scale military engagment because THREE terror attacks were launched against Moscow and St. Petusburg. i think the world doesnt value Israeli Human life as much as they do other nationalities.
people always go on about the settlements in the occupied territories, id just like to set the record straight. after the 6 day war we offered to make an agreement over giving back the territory we had won to the arab states......in the Arab Summit after this offer by Israel the arab states agreed that there would ''no negotiation, no treaty, no deals''. if the palestinians were to say that they would make peace with us if only we withdrew the settlements the israeli government (as they did in sinai) would pay off the settlers and either ask them to leave and if they refused they would forcibly evict them (as they did in sinai).
the settlers in the west bank number around 200,000 there are 400,000 arabs living in Israel with citizenship and full democratic rights why cant the 200,000 settlers in west bank and gaza live in a palestinian state with full rights aswell. are we not as good as them?. this is certanly the message iv been getting from news channels such as the BBC and CNN and public opinion around the world.

I dunno... This entire theory seems pretty strange to me. At the time the US didn't agree to even SELL weapons to Israel, so they bribing countries to vote for it looks pretty strange to me.

What's the "French Channel"? I've been in a cannal between France and Britain, but you can't really see anything there.

But what sort of channel is it? Is it a history channel? Documentary channel? News channel? And is it goverment funded or privatly owned?

It seems strange to me that a channel like this will post conspiracy theories as truth. I'd stick to the history channel.

I can understand english ;) It's on a hill near Nahalal (on the northern most part of the Yis'srael valley)

I think either they were misinformed or you didn't understand them. The US didn't bribe anyone in order to create a country and then ignore that country for two decades.

ok, sorry never heard about it, its in the Galilee isnt it?. im from Ramat Gan so i only really know about the surrounding areas on the 'Costal Plain'. obviously i know were Tiberius, Safed etc.. are but not small cities like yours.
