This thread made me do it.

I'm suprised how people say "AC/DC are bad" without even knowing 50% of their songs. So I created a poll.

The poll is quite simple, I don't want opinions such as "Good band, eventhought they were better with Bon, but more popular with Brian". For me - I voted "One of the best bands ever"

Let's see how will you vote.

Friggin awful bogan rock, and it makes me sad that they're probably the most famous Australian band. They're only good for cheesiness and being ironic.

Why would you need to know 50 % of their songs? Do you know 50 % of N'syns songs? Don' think so, but I do think that you still dislike them. What about Ricky Martin, have you heard 50 % of his songs? Or Spice Girls? Or 50 Cent? But you still dont like them?

No, it is enough to hear 20 songs or so to say THEY are bad.

Just they are plain and commercial. The only good Spice Girls' song is "Wanna Be". The others are for money.

Oh, and please don't tell me that there's no difference between AC/DC songs. THERE IS! Listen to TNT, Ride On, Thunderstruck and Can't Stand Still. So different. Just majority of their haters can't find the difference because they dislike pure raw rock.

good band :)

the make great, straight-forward rock music and they're absolutely killers when life :)

they'll always have a special place in my playlists

I couldn't vote because the poll should have included silly band. That would be my vote. They are not good or the best for sure. They are not the worst. They are a pretty funny hair band. They are from my childhood and I remember them well. "..now who has the biggest balls of them all ? she's got big balls, he's got ..."

ACDC rock.

Good music doesn't always need to be clever.

I had to pick bad band. I don't think they are though. I just don't like them at all. But they aren't horrible. I can understand why other people could like them. But to me, they are not good.

Anybody that can have John Denver testify against them in a Congressional hearing must have something going for them.

One of the best.

Meh... they're okay I guess overall. There are a few songs I really like, but the rest of them just sound really similar them, but aren't as good. If they had released maybe five songs, they'd be awesome... but the rest just waters it down and bugs the hell out of me.

They are not one of the best bands ever, but I would say they are one of the best back yard party music bands.

There should be a "mediocre" option. I would choose that because they were a good
band w/Bon Scott, and a bad band w/Brian Johnson (can't stand his voice).

I like some AC/DC songs, but to me they all sound like the same chords and progressions over and over again; it's like one huge, twenty-year long song. So yeah, I'll put Highway to Hell or Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution on my mix tapes, but that's really about it.

They're still better than a lot of bands, and I do enjoy their sound, but it's very boring to hear the SAME sound over and again.

He testified in favor of dirty lyrics.

AC/DC are a good party band.
Actually, he misrepresented the lyrics of "Shoot to Thrill" as violent lyrics instead of merely dirty lyrics. Of course, AC/DC wasn't given the chance to misrepresent the lyrics of "Rocky Mountain High."
