I'm not Hindu, so not familiar enough with Hinduism perhaps, but I think that Hinduism actually can coexist with all religions. Hinduism, to the best of my knowledge, does not have large fundamentalist groups like Islam does, which attack other religions, and Hinduism doesn't have a large active missionary tradition. I know that there are Hindu missionaries (isn't the tradition called Shuddhi, I believe I've heard the term?), but, as far as I understand, Hinduism isn't actively seeking to convert non-Hindus. Christianity, however, does have many missionaries that are active (I can even say that from experience) and is actively trying to get more followers.
I guess you're right. Christians and Muslims, currently, do try to spread their religion actively, and do have conflicts with other religions. Judaism, in fact, not only doesn't try to spread religion, it also discourages converts. So that's one thing that makes Hinduism and Judaism similar - the lack of aggressive conversion/spreading efforts.
