515 AD (0) - Set Karakorum on Heroic Epic as it's our best production city (will build market in Washington instead.) Cancelled the scientists in Moscow to allow it to grow and build forge quicker. Microed Novgorod for growth. End turn.

530 AD (1) - Paper in, Edu in 20

545 AD (2) - Mansa wants to trade Compass + gold for paper. Decline this for now so we keep our headstart on education.

575 AD (4) - Atlanta down. Sheep/gold/oasis I'll keep.

590 AD (5) - Prophet out in Karakorum. Fired all the priests there and sent them to work the mines instead.

620 AD (7) - Shrine up increasing our income by 17 immediately. Saladin founds Islam.

650 AD (9) - Captured and razed Philadelphia, its only good tiles would be claimed by Djenne. Unfortunately, Roosevelt founded one more junk city for us to raze.

665 AD (10) - Heroic epic completed, we have 2 turn maces in Karakorum now.

No casualties this turn. 2 missionaries en route from Moscow to Gao and Djenne.

Education in 12. Next GP due in 20 turns at Boston under pacifism. There's a chance it will be a prophet due to the shrine now up, but we can use the prophet to build Confucian shrine once we own that city. Beshbalik and NY also working on scientists. I switched most of the other specialists over to production.


The following trades are available if the next player wants them:

Mansa will give theology + 130 gold for paper, tempting since we have a big lead on education and are massing troops now.

Saladin and HC have 140/150 gold for philosophy.
 
I really do not undestand reason of firing specialists next turn after I hire them.
Idea was to collect as mach GP points as posible untill we get prophet minimum or better one more gp and then you can revold to anything else you like. You just wasted Pacifism as a civic.
 
But why hire them in ALL cities? What the heckis thepoint of that? Isn't it logical to decide which city will be responsible for generating GP? You do realize that it doesnt make sense to waste all resources so that each city woudl generate GPs ?
 
No, it is no wastefull at all. Wastefull to do otherwize.

Hire in all cities, generate GP's untill needed right now amount of gp's obtained, switch back to orgonised religion and fire all specialists exept specialised one.
Idea is, you are not going to fire all specialist, most cities will run engeneer.
So, this bunch GP point will eventially generate a GP.

So, insted of short burst of Pacifism and collecting GP points for future GP generation, and switching to build up in Orgonised religion pacifism was wasted and orgonised religion were not used.

BTW, I did not hire GP in ALL cities, only in 5? I think. Execly cities that will run engeneer anyway.

It is equal if some one prepare to war, declared, move army to cities and bombard defence to 0 and next person made a peace first turn and give up tech for it.

It is about this kind of action.

also, I don’t know if you guys pay attention to binary science but, right now
running @ 50% science (+5 gpt) and education is in 12. If I put slider to 100% science,
, we are loosing -117 gpt, but education is in 6. Which means we would need 702 gold total to run at 100%. If I put the slider at 0% for 6 turns i get 123 gpt. Which means in 6 turns we can have total of 879.
Not only we get more money for same number of turns, we can get education in 11 not 12 turns, and still have more money.
I'm sure you already know about this, but just a reminder since it is excellent way to save some money, turn here or there might not be a big deal, then maybe it is, especially if playing on high difficulties.
As I'm doing this, I visit our friendly neighbor HC, he is annoyed at us already, and demand from him 140 gold.
He gives, but is even more annoyed...who gives a damn, he’s about to die. So I still do binary only now we get Education in 10 turns.

turn 10...chillin I start bunch of universities but you can change that. I also build one Keshik ... hah! had to come one..
Basically i didn’t move any unit in my last turn so next player can do whatever he likes in his preturn
Watch out for Boston in starvation mode but will spit out GP next turn.

In our scale of economy binary science does not do anything.

few comments:

I would cancel all universaties and went full military production.
was not that an idea? Universaties are way to expencive for as to waster time producing.
 
ohh I look on save and a bunch of military units were build, making pacifism a bad civic.
I advice to cancel it and fire specialists now.
Everything good only in it's precise time, use of Pacifism was complitly wresked.
 
Mutineer - I only fired the specialists at Moscow and Karakorum once its prophet was done I think, and switched one engineer to a mine somewhere. It's a waste running specialists in more than 3 cities now. The 6th GP would spawn too late (75 turns) to do anything useful, it's the same reason we should not build too many universities.

I thought the main point of going Pacifism was so we could get our prophet faster and put Karakorum back on military, we achieved this. You yourself said it was not suitable as a long term GP farm. Moscow had to stop growth at size 8 out of 15 and half normal production in order to run 2 scientists... sorry but I think that is too much of a sacrifice.


looked at save, couple comments - Washington is close to unhealthy and we should cancel the forest chop there. Maybe build national epic at Boston if our next GP is a scientist. Saladin is now willing to trade feud and theology for philo + paper, we should get them.

I have to agree with uberfish, I think we got from pacifism what we wanted, and we don't have a reall GP farm to run pacifism for long time.
I put universities as placeholders, however, i would build one in our biggest commerce city, while other make units. Theology would be better choice than Vess, but one or the other is good idea now.

lose 3 maces but raze Huamanga, not worth keeping that city

Mansa just discovered guild, so he won't get liberalism before us, the gamble paid off
we will get it in 2 turns

we need optics in order to connect the whales
guess once we have liberalism, we should trade and then go after Mansa anyway
also we badly need to chnage civic but I did not want to jeapordize the liberalism slingshot

I'm not signed up for SGOTM, I was hoping to play the next game one difficulty level up rather than down if we can ever agree on what to do with our stupid terrain improvements and specialists :p

Traded to Saladin Education for Optic+somethign else.
Cancel National epic, as this city can support max 3 specialists.
we betetr build it in an other city.

Got Liberalism, choise Nationalism, research set to gunpowder.
Fired specialists and revolted to orgonised religion.
We occupied a lot of cities and they need ifrastructure build.
IN addition I decided to build Taj Mahal in Karocorum, will help to get this.

Our huge empire will benefit from Golden age.
Start a few forest cuts around Karokorum, to speed up Taj Mahal.

Toky found as, he is ofcouse backward.
Raised Capac city deep south, but he has an other one, not easy accessable, so I made peace with him.
