[Addons] Additional Wonders

I really like your wonders and also really like that I can choose which I want ingame.

I have two questions though.

First: Do you know how the AI views these wonders, do they actually build them and are they able to prioritize wonders that would be most benneficial to them?

Second: I build pont du gard the other day, awesome wonder btw. But the info screen doesn't show me how much it adds, or I don't understand.
So, does it give 20% to the base food income or to the growth?
It seemed to be given 0.8 food to a 25 pop city that had a growth of 12 food per turn, so didn't make any sense to me.

1) Afaik AI views wonders based on flavor values defined through XML code. I took care about setting these values for introduced wonders, thus I would expect that AI manages them in the right manner.

2) Pont du Gard works in the same manner Floating Garden does, i.e. it "should" add 20% food in the city (instead of 15%). How it is "really" calculated depends by CiV code. If there is an error, the same will be true for floating garden. Iirc, I did several tests times ago and they went ok. Nonetheless, I noticed that latest 2K changes on buildings have gone in the direction to set fixed amount of food instead of percent value. Floating garden is the only building using percent amount of food. Is there a signal?
However, I'll keep Pont under watch, and if your issue will be confirmed, then I'll switch to fixed amount instead of %

Thanks for the report ;)

Interesting, thanks alot for your reply.

If I have time I will try again with both floating gardens and pont du gard. That should be pretty powerfull anyway =D

Golden Gate Bridge Wonder is out ;)

You may download it HERE or using CiV mod browser

Nice, and that's it with wonders? Do you take your time now to finally play the game again? :D

I see. I've never peeked into that forum section so far.
Very nice collection of Civs you got there. I can imagine working on civs and units is more exciting than on buildings; same here. Buildings don't offer so much action.

Anyway, thanks for your work here! :goodjob:

Not exactly. It's a matter of learning curve: buildings are quite simple, civs are a bit more complex. I'm not a skillful modder; I'm studying to learn and to do more.

Ambrox62, thanks for all the great wonders. The Golden Gate Bridge splash is awesome btw. Can't wait to see the stuff you create next!

I've played a game as aztecs. I didn't get a screenshot but something seems outof wack here.

I had the floating gardens, pont du gard and the SP for 15% growth. So it was a 15% empire bonus and 35% city bonus.

With a growth of 17 :food: these bonusses altogether netted me something like 2,48 :food:.

I just don't understand how it's calculated, or why such a strange number comes out. If I'm correct the added growth should be 50% and thus 8,5. Which is a good amount.

Getting less than 3 for 1 sp, 1 UB and 1 World Wonder seems nuts.

Does anyone else have reports on this? Shall I make a screenshot?

Your report says that there is somethings wrong in the game's math. Would be interesting to record the status just before the Pont completion, i.e. with SP 15% and FG 15% active, to check if 30% is correctly applied.
If 30% calculation goes wrong, it is a CiV bug. In this case I might switch the Pont effect to a fixed amount of food

I'll start up a testgame this evening and then give you a savegame from just before completion of pont du gard.

It's certainly a calculation error. In the testgame I took the sp first, which correctly calculated the 15% food. When I build the floating gardens it inmeddially went wrong and some wacky number (ending with .98) came out.

Here is the savegame

Just before building floating gardens. Haven't build pont du gard yet but I would assume it's the same story.

ps: mods enabled is infoaddict and a few of your wonders.

hi, the game crashes everytime i use one of your wonder mods or some of them , it used to happen after some turns, not at the beginning, with different computers
do u have any idea how to solve this?
btw compliments for these wonders, i love em

se sei italiano puoi rispondermi anche in ita, grazie

Afaik, there is nothing in my wonders that might produce a CTD. These are addons, no mods. CiV suffers CTD by itself.
Did you encounter CTD playing without them?

If you wish to speak italian, write me a PM ;)

It's certainly a calculation error.

I think it deserves a notification to 2k support (SP+floating garden). Did you it?
About Pont du Gard, I'll change its effect. +4 food should be a good replacement for +20% food, imo.
Thanks for the report :goodjob:
