Recently I was busy about new semester, but I'm keep gathering infos about mod component and historical parts. I'll make it based on released version, and for now it is 1.11.

What do you think about UU graphics? I'm considering Commando for Boer UU replaces grenadier, but there's only mounted one so I'm looking for somewhat similar footman graphics.

A grendier UU maybe a little weak in the middle 19th Century? England and Dutch always have Infantry at that time.

I think that's basically the problem of both English and Dutch abnormally high techrate, but still I need "de facto" balancing solution for the game. Considering the fact that almost always England and Netherlands become superpower in mid-18c, giving them powerful renaissance era UU - so that they can fight out against industrial era ones - seems like doable solution.

I have 2 options:
1. Buff grenadier as UU, so that they can be a counter card against rifleman and infantry with very high withdrawal chance and attack bonus against them.
2. Cavalry UU with attack bonus against rifleman and infantry - or give them higher strength. (about 18?)

Also I suggest to do some change to the terrain in South Africa. For now South Africa lacks of food, and there's no horse in South Africa. I think it's not enough to only make a UB with food.

Does anyone have some idea what symbol and color set will be fit best for Boer/South Africa civilization? I looked out some info but most of flags used by Boer republics requires more than 3 colors. About symbol, coat of arm seems the most adequate solution among few candidates, but it was just too complex to use on civ4 flag.

Light orange, from the Netherlands? Light brown (as in, golden brown)?

I'd agree with a golden brown sort of color. It's pretty unique and separate from the colors of some other civs.
