I'm just not sure if it'll be the same if they ever do manage to get the rights together and replicate it. So much of that game's greatness is about the writing and the story and the mood as much as the gameplay.
I never really gave Beyond Earth a chance once I saw the complicated research tree. I think what the game needs is a more exciting information era and they could borrow from beyond earth for this. More sci fi inspired units and Unique improvements should definately be included. Does anyone else miss the giant death robot and XCOM squad from Civ5?
Yes I agree I would appreciate a move towards more scenarios. I loved the Into the Renaissance scenario from Civ5 so maybe bring this back. Would also like to see a world war 2 scenario or one that concentrates on exploration in the Americas.
This very much. I was so excited by a remake of Colonisation and so very disappointed with what we got.
A remake of SMAC would be nice too.
Indifferent to Beyond Earth II, might buy it on sale.
edit: Chariots of War wasn't a bad ancient civ-type game, although it focused more on warfare than Civ does, but a similar period and area done Civ-style would be nice.
