I agree. This certainly feels like they are working on something they want to get out for the anniversary.

They had been testing that for about 9 months. That's a long time for a simple free DLC. It makes me wonder if they were planning another expansion for XCOM, but decided to cancel it and convert part of it to a free DLC.

I personally don't care about specific new Civ's / Leaders. I just want more. As long as they are well planned, and work within the game mechanics. Plus, are completely different from any existing Civ.

Im backing Mali, Inca, and Vietnam. But then again, I really dont care as long as we get fresh meat.

I'd like to see the Ottomans, Babylon and the Mayan's. Plus an alternative leader for Rome who is strong at Culture victory.

I'd like to see 2 Science based civs, similar to Sumer and Korea. (Babylon being one of those civs)

I can do better. I dont care about civ / leaders at all - not in the way they are designed in civ games at least. I play the same civ all the time anyway. I do care about a reasonable spread on a real-world map. Last, but not least, I couldn't give 2 *bleeps* about ancient civs - they just end up looking stupid in modern times. I REALLY wish Firaxis had spent a little artwork to change leader clothes like they did in civ3. They did use a lot of time on artwork this time (which I dont like), so a few sets of clothes shouldn't be that hard.

By that logic, one could say modern civs just look stupid in ancient times.

I REALLY wish Firaxis had spent a little artwork to change leader clothes like they did in civ3.

Once again: Skinhead Joan of Arc. Civ3's awful leader graphics only demonstrated two things: Civ3's art director had a really juvenile sense of humor and an utter lack of imagination about how fashion could develop.

They did use a lot of time on artwork this time (which I dont like), so a few sets of clothes shouldn't be that hard.

Please, take some classes on digital art development. It's not simply "press button, make art."

Substitute Haida, Tlingit, or Powhatan for Iroquois and I couldn't have said it better myself. Iroquois would be fine, too, though.

I agree with this, Rome is such a fun civ to play as. Anything that would make me play them more, i'm down with.
