All The World's A Stage

In the event of a hostile invasion, the default move for mods unless there is a reasonable reason why not is "repel the invaders". However, it is an actual decision whether to stay at home to deal with the rebels or not.

Um..No. In either case, you still have unforeseen hostiles attacking you, and in either case, you would have to repel and defeat them.

"Since we are currently occupied with the war with the Ottomans, we will agree to these terms. But we ask that Sweden and Denmark will comply with the ceasefire and not attack Russia or aid our enemies in this war. Don't think that winning this battle has gave you any high ground over Russia, and if you cross us after signing the treaty, you will see true Russian soldiers marching into Stockholm, and not bands of native Norwegian mercenaries like before."

To All involved in the Russian Intervention

You offered them a truce until you could end the problem with The Empire one way or another. You obviously think Sweden and Denmark are imbeciles. Your wording of this 'acceptance' makes clear you have not given up in Scandinavia, simply been distracted from it.

The Empire defeated you before to free many nations you have since annexed again. The Empire could not stand by while you tried to take over Scandinavia, again. Winning against Russia does give the Swedes 'high ground' over Russia. You attacked them, they beat you back.

For peace we demand you turn over your border regions with Crimea to Crimea, The land occupied by Kazan and the Empire in the east to Kazan, and you turn your fleet over to the Empire so we can make sure you obey the peace in Scandinavia.

These demands are fair and just. If you force us to march on and take Moscow, we can and you cannot stop us, the terms will be much much harsher.

This is the will of the Padishah, and through him the Ottoman Empire.

"As we said, we will abandon Scandinavia as long as Sweden and Denmark respect the peace treaty.

As for the war, we are willing to come to an unconditioned peace, if Ottoman forces retreat from Russian land. You cannot threaten Russia and it's capital, when even the Ethiopians in the south are able to defy you with sticks they picked from the ground. Do not make this conflict grow to greater sizes, and accept this peace treaty so we may return to status quo.

As we said from before, we have agreed on leaving Kazan to it's business, but we request the land conquered by Kazan to be returned to Russia. We also request the Russian land under Ottoman control to be returned to Russia, so that we may return to the pre-war borders. This is the last offer, though, and if you disagree the Russian men will be more then happy to drive Ottoman forces with steel."

1- There is the precedent of Britanny (allowing the war to continue despite a civil war being a risk).
2- There is the overriding factor that Warman17 knows that is not what I would do.

Come to think of it, what about the Tosmk colony? I think you'd agree it's a seperate issue.

I know this may sound foolish, but can you alter the update on the premise I did attack Dai Viet and order the colony attempt? It's what I would have done.

I was going to colonize Jakarta, but the Portuguese beat me to it. I'm not complaining about it. C'est la vie.

Some things don't play out NES-wise, and some don't. It's a factor.

1. I engineered that war, and I sent a force to deal with possible rebellions as well, unlike you, as you were directing your army against Dai Viet.
2. It is reasonable to prevent rebellions over a few mere minor expansions.

If Dai Viet had been conquered by another player, it would be reasonable for Warman17 to not have my forces attack. However, if he knew I would want to attack anyway he should- NESing is supposed to be realistic, which means no godmoding.

1. One argument refuted.
2:
a- This is about what the mod should do. The mod should NOT assume that he can make decisions for the player, and should only make them when absolutely necessary.
b- Not necessarily. The Tomsk colony, for example, was irrelevant to the rebellions and the South was necessary for my expansion plans.

@TheWesley: It's over; please stop complaining. You may not agree with the decisions made by the mod but you agreed to play in his nes and you can leave if that's a problem. Your complaints aren't going to get you Dai Viet if they haven't already. You're probably just setting yourself up for a series of nasty events in the next update.

Warman17 will say when it's over- I'm waiting for him to confirm one way or the other.

How arrogant can you be?

The issue was resolved, now put it behind you. I'm trying to give you advice on NES etiquette, and you're completely rejecting it. People, even new people are telling you to calm down and go along with the mod. If I were mod, I would just tell you to get out of my NES. But Warman is apparently more patient than me.

In conclusion, deal with it.

Lurkers Comment; Wesley, you really need to stop whining. It's a game for the love of god. If every order you requested got carried out perfectly.. it wouldn't be much of a game.

Hey Wesley, why don't you hold the sack of poo before you throw it and I can give you some pointers... Saturday: (to much stuff on others)

OOC

The Kingdom of Portugal is pleased to announce that they will be hosting an inventor's ball. A celebration of the genius that is creativity and curiosity. The goal is to brighten the lives of those within, and without our country with the festivities. The gala is open to inventors, and sponsors looking for a new project to fund.

A fantastic idea! The inventors of England and the Empire will surely be joining.
