Alternate Timeline Building Experiment, v1.0

Just answer me this: do you see my nation as on an even footing with ANY other culture, or have you just designated them the primitive buffoons of this game? I spent a lot of time trying to emphasize industry, technology, etc, but it seems to me as though you consider it to be unbelievably inferior to Europeans.

Also: so another one of my orders has totally backfired? No gains vs the Aarut but now a second front to have to fight...Should I even bother trying to fight that or are they destined to just run me over like the Aarut did? Honestly, it feels as though my input is being constantly ignored, and it's getting incredibly frustrating.

The Thereska Sarvikova will legislate against anti-Thereskan (we don't use the term 'Furotocan', btw) activites. Use police and military to put down any uprisings, while still working to keep the vast majority of the population content.

Point out that the Thereska Sarvonika refers to the largest population in the region, it includes Zevonese, Savisians, Yeshegi, Tyzanskians, Nadzavoskians, Serezyllians, Saratians, Kupartans, Sariv, Sezatians, and many more groups sharing a common history. This commonness is to be celebrated. The Yeshegi have been part of this great cooperation since the times of the great Savisian Empire of the past, and they continue to be valued members of our great Thereska!

cool i will send orders after the next update because it seems this turn is at an end

Start mass investment into AntiAircraft Guns, Intercepter Fighters (Fast, powerful, with not alot of fuel exchanged for speed and manuverability: They most likey won't have protectors) and Radar in Yanshi.

Huiyan becomes a large maker of Army Styled Automobiles, including the Stykr from Shai Khe or 'Chargemobile' which is a mobile armoured Infantry Support Vehicle with a Machine Gun in the Army and a ruff camper to the Public. However a few are sold to the Southern lands and they are rearmoured and found better than the Original Shai Khe. Mostly Protected it has weaker air defenses but a more content people and large exports through a railroad and a port that Yanshi has Gifted to them for trade and defense.

Aww, no world war, and now no reason to wipe out democracy? :(. Oh well, I'll find a way around that...

Imperial Aarut Republic, now the Aarut Federation of All Free Peoples

First and foremost, reform into a federation including most dependencies, similar to the Russian Federation, but somewhat looser. Different regions will be granted different rights (for example the Masuberg/Lanverg will be granted the right to reject any and all industrialization, which will make a very good impression on them, Nacubia will be somewhat semi-autonomous under their own governor and legislative body, although they will still answer to the Aarut crown, etc). A peace will then be signed with the Panto, forcing the Panto to cede their little enclaves, [East Georgia], [East West Florida], and establishing several small Mantes (de jure Panto dependencies, but de facto Aarut vassals) as buffer states (these Mantes will be comprised of parts of the ceded Panto territory, current Aarut territory, and perhaps also small parts of Panto territory). If the Panto refuse, sail up the Mississippi, bomb them to the ground, and force a similar peace out of them.

This next part will only occur if Varaka and Argine agree (great war on democracy):
| The Aarut will host a conference with the leaders of Varaka and Argine. There, they will secretly discuss war plans against the Furotoca. Blaming the Furotoca for their own internal problems, Varaka, Aarut, and Argine will reconcile their differences and decide to once and for all crush the mob rule around the Mediterranean. The Argine will be promised influence over [Spain], among other things.
| First, once all three leaders agree that a war is needed, Aarut will contact Tezan and attempt to convince them to ally with the Aarut, or at least stay neutral. With or without Tezan help, the Aarut will then destroy Furotocan mines/military-equipment around [Gibraltar] and then deploy their fleet in the Mediterranean.
| At the same time, the Aarut will contact anti-republican movements in Nemarthia, supply them with money and arms, and encourage them to take control of the government.
Aarut agents will also enter the United Furotoca itself and encourage dissenters frustrated with the inefficiency of democracy to voice their opinions. These agents may perhaps even instill paranoia in these previously peaceful dissenters and advise them to arm themselves before the Furotoca slaughters them.
| Aarut agents in the United Furotoca will also attempt to bring out the flaws of Furotocan government by meddling in elections and politicians' lives. Hopefully, this will make even more Furotocan citizens unsatisfied with their government.
| The Aarut will also stir up nationalism in their own country and spread propaganda depicting the Furotocan government as ineffective mob rule that will soon internally collapse.
| Once the Aarut navy has entered the Mediterranean, they will blockade the Furotoca (although such a blockade would probably be quite ineffective due to the sheer size of their coasts), stating that this blockade (and the whole war) will stop once they are sure that "corrupt politicians will never again be able to do as they please, lie to their people, and abuse the [Furotocan] people's trust." This should create even more dissenters.

Rosk Empire

The Rosk's main focus will be on accelerating their modernization in [Sweden], while at the same time establishing another close vassal state in their rebelling territory in Amestria (gray on your map I'm guessing). They will also declare war on the Furotoca once the Aarut do, although they will not be able to dedicate many, if any, troops.

Those who have tasted the fruits of freedom will never abandon it, and the oppressed who catch scent of distant freedom will never abandon their quest to obtain it.

-Taduz Koruvolyk, Prominent Thereskan Diplomat

Those who have tasted the fruits of freedom bought with cash will never abandon it, and the oppressed who catch scent of distant freedom will never abandon their quest to obtain it and will never succeed.

Arise you wretched masses and overthrow the corrupt "democrats" in office! Dirty Furotocan-Poneb lovers, for the Fatherland!

-"A Parody" The People's Choice, popular nationalist daily.

Orders amended.

I have PM'ed Luckymoose about this. The Varakan Empire's aceptance or decline of qoou's offer is a decision he should make. If there is a world war after all, then it might be a case of more mini-updates, since this would probably be THE war of this whole timeline thing (apart from the possibility of some kind of nuclear Armageddon later :) ).

@Nick014, I can only repeat that I see the native Americans as having some unavoidable disadvantages. I'm sorry if that is no fun :dunno:. But I'm sure others would argue that I've been to defensive of the native Americans… I'm trying to be realistic, but still learning in the process. The comparison between them and the invaders is maybe like OTL china and japan in the 1930's and 40's? They are NOT helpless.

I also repeat that the latest map basically did not have updated borders - aside from placing the flashpoints, I only had time to alter a couple of parts of the underlying map, in Europe in the far east.

The Aarut are facing unrest, guerrilla war and were preparing to withdraw from much of southern US area.

on the idea of nuclear armegeddon, perhaps after a while a nuclear holocaust accurs to wipe clean the slate of humanity, we could have one of each culture remain to grow and split and be destroyed creating a cycle of advancment to death by nukes.

(sorry if im a little incoherent im tired)

I shall try not to be too discouraged, I had just hoped that the blank slate nature of the starting world would allow my people to be at least equal to their overseas counterparts.

Anyway, for the remainder of the turn, the Xanto turn from the east and crush the Suraji incursion, then press on in a quick, mobile war all the way to the Pacific coast and the Marinanta, then sue for peace. You rated the Suraji as about as powerful as the Xanto in the last update, and they are stretched out all along the coast of North America and South America. I should have a definite advantage in this one, I think.

The Panto keep up the guerrilla efforts, and will not be satisfied until all their original land is returned (they are willing to tolerate the annexation of the neighboring natives). make no distinction between soldiers and civilians, basically will kill any Aarut they find. This ethnic cleansing is successful in terrorizing the Aarut, but it alienates them from their Xanto allies who cut off most of their support.

Alas, still in talks with Luckymoose, so not sure whats happening yet...

All this fuss stems from the fact that I didn't want to NPC a world war which could totally reshape the world, not after the amount of time that has gone into this thing...

Is anyone that bothered though? Would you be happy with me NPC'ing a world war or major regional war?

---

@Nick014, thankyou! but I think I should ask, what about the natives who might be loyal to Aarut? Or perhaps worse, those of mixed race and culture seeking to create their own new states instead of reforming the Panto confederacy?

@Condor_green, if things get to that stage I think I'd call it an end rather than starting over. A post-apocalyptic world would have so many unkowns it would basically be a sci-fi game, and not 'realistic' as I've been attempting so far :)

would you call the experiment a success once it ends?

Hmm, i think success is for other people to judge :) (*notes the flame war in the 'while we wait' thread over the issue of judging NESes*)

EDIT: WORLD WAR IS ON!

All Daft projects are a success, and yes that is sucking up in order to get DaftNES II back.

Basically they are of the mindset that it's acceptable to kill anyone that stands in their way of regaining what's rightfully theirs.

im gonna post orders if this doesnt work for you DaftPanzer then feel free to ignore them

The Hulat are to start a mass industriel and Tachnological reformation trying to bring itself to par with its imperielistic competetors

the Rayulat are to wage war with the Imperial Aerut and are to expand their navy and Army to full capacity

the Latlan colonies are to impose their culture to their enslaved brothers in the Aerut the Latlan are to do everything in there power to increase their culture

EDIT: WORLD WAR IS ON!

Oh, Lordy. I have a feeling this will be paradigm-shifting.

I'm sure the Triple Alliance will hold!

(Seeing as Charles Li isn't here right now, I think the Triple Alliance is a good name. I'm tempted to say Asian Alliance and conveniently ignore the Japanese, but that wouldn't be honest.)

All of our best efforts have thus come to naught. It is time for the free peoples of the world to unite, and push back the aggressors once and for all. Victory for the Thereska Sarvikova! Victory for the Furotocas! Victory for the Good!

All of our best efforts have thus come to naught. It is time for the free peoples of the world to unite, and push back the aggressors once and for all. Victory for the Thereska Sarvikova[1]1! Victory for the Furotocas[2]! Victory for the Good of our back pockets!

[1] For a national travesty;
[2] I mean need we say more?

Those weaklings in Parliament would involve us in a war for Furotocas... that could lead to our destruction? Death to them we say.

Punch - Nationalist Daily.

Oh the wisdom of the nationalists. So joyfully convinced by their imagined epic theatre between their ideals and ours. Saying nothing, but quoting their political opponents and lampooning them with their keen wit and a bizarre fascination with back pockets!

Your average citizen might question how fighting a defensive war would fill one's coffers, but not these fine nationalist friends of ours! The Furotocas want to fight, because- every logical person knows- there is nothing more profitable than sending your workforces off to kill and destroy each others lands!

-Vederts Jornalikne (Libertarian Journal, Translated from Curia)

OOC: I assume that saying that the Thereska Sarvikova loves the Poneb is simply unintelligent propaganda- that we've repeatedly and recently made war with them and tried to destroy them is being ignored. ;)
