Alternate Timeline Building Experiment, v1.0

I'd like to amend my previous orders in this new post in case it gets missed in an edit:

In the Antehauta Empire, the plague had mostly run its course and populations were beginning to recover. With the Lantan Church's decline in power and organization, the concept of "Lantan Unity" became less of a concern for its power-hungry generals. The highly millitarized state began to use its advanced weaponry against its Lantan neighbors to the west, annexing the tiny Marinata kingdoms, and to the east, overrunning the remnants of the Akanto kingdoms. After these short and relatively easy conquests, the overconfident generals turned their sights to the Lantamalacal to the south. Assuming another quick victory, they were unprepared for the resistance they met. They became broiled down in a lengthy war all along the southern front, with heavy casualties (both military and civilian) for both sides. The end result was the destruction of the Lantamacal and another great horror for the region so recenly scarred by the plague, but also a sharp increase in militarism and military technology/tactics in the region.

The Xanauk Kingdom took this opportunity to ally itself with the Antehauta and annex a portion of territory to the west, as well as some to the north. Having themselves been recently freed from an opressive empire, they elect to join the new United Panto Republic and send their forces east to meet the Europeans.

Hom Empire: Attack the Haburu Kingdoms and once conquered, in order to stop any potential rebellions, set up a "government" which in actuality has no power whatsoever, but seems to self-govern. Also, spread any ideas from East to West or vice versa via sea routes going from West Africa to India.
Manzuru Empire: After the first failed colonies in India, decide to instead focus on a land empire in East Africa. Turn on the Upper Nile Kingdoms one at a time, spreading false lies about each to convince them to war amongst each other, and when they are all exhausted, attack them and annex. Also, scholars will be learning from the Enlightenment and spreading new ideas perhaps even some rebellious ones...
Ceyloni Kingdom: Be a naval trade route for the Indian Ocean, attacking competitors with their vast navy which was recently modernized with a few ships which could operate with steamships. Back home, steam engines are being experimented with more than ever, with railroads possibly coming up soon.
Zhulharsa States:Simple use increasing pressure from neighboring states as an incentive to try to unite, with Enlightenment ideas pushing the idea of unification along.
Dagon Kingdoms: See Yujin colonies as a threat to their profits from their strategic location, and attack Yujin colonies all over Indonesia, especially Singapore. On Borneo, declare war on the Juray Kingdom and try to conquer it, but due to lack of unity, fail and lose many men.The failure inspires the people the current governments are useless, and overthrow the Kingdoms to establish a prototype republic.
Zuli Tribes: Be angry at the Yujin colonies as people trying to force their way of life upon them. Uniting with other Indonesian tribes, attempt to drive out the Yujin in one large attack.

Well, don't do it without me guys. I was a bit busy this past week but I'll get it in tomorrow alright? Now I gotta sleep, sorry for the inconvenience :(

Marzhung Empire

Shamelessly steal ideas from the Varakan and anyone else near me that will give the Empire a stable foundation. Work to give the various subject and tributary peoples some stake in the continuing health of the Empire, using whatever shamelessly stolen idea that works best. Marzhung should really come to apply to all the peoples of the Empire, with the real Marzhung intermarrying heavily and kind of subsuming into the mix. There should also be an alternative to the “Mountains of Skulls” option; surrendering… of course if one were to revolt we want a “Super Mountains of Skulls”. Ally widely against the Poneb Empire, window on the Baltic please ;)

Rebel Anarchist Space Hamsters got him Lucky, I mean honestly.

Yeah I'm going away from tommorrow til monday, not that I've really been around since my last trip away. When I get back, I will attempt to rescue this from being another of my epic failures.

Daft isn't like other mods in this respect. If you pester him, it will get done.

@Luckymoose, I don’t know what gave you that idea :)

Really, is anyone still interested in continuing this to the end, just for the sake of completion?

In any case, now that NESlife3 update is out the way, I will finally get to work on this.

I lost sight of the original goal (not that I actually knew what that was exactly). And, its hard for me to keep things simple, without feeling like I’m making it all totally pointless and ignoring people’s input. But, I will make yet another attempt. Civ4 occupied much of my time tonight… Please check back in 24 hours for a possible update (… or is that 240 hours :) )
