To the United Kingdom,
From Canada,
On behalf of the Canadian People, I wish to extend my condolences to the people of the United Kingdom over the tragic terror attacks against the Big Ben, and the untimely death of our dear Queen Elizabeth II. Canadians stand in solidarity with the United Kingdom over these atrocious acts of cowardice, and will aid the United Kingdom in hunting down these criminal terrorists, if possible. We look forward to the reign of Queen Margeret I, and hope that she will usher in a period of better relations within the Commonwealth.
Yours Truly,
John Diefenbacker,
Prime Minister of Canada

Political Turmoil in UK stuns World!
The political turmoil has continued in the United Kingdom, with a suicidal plane carrying British, Canadian and American passangers crashes into the Big ben, destroying that uniquely British monument. Then, to add insult to injury, the Queen of England, and, indeed, the entire British Commonwealth, including Canada, was killed as she made an address in front of the ruins of Big Ben.
Now, many are wondering about the timing of these events, and what they mean for Britian. Some speculate that Britain might be facing Civil War, as apparently anti-Fascist forces within Britain have been having luck targeting British Forces. The British have blamed these on the IRA and LFN, but that cannot be so, say experts, because these bombings are quite sofisticated in nature.
The wider impact of these events, all happening so quickly, cannot be easily measured. But, it is a rather strange coincidence that Mr. Oswald Mosely, the Prime Minister of the UK, and extremely unpopular in Canada, is set to marry the Queen of the UK, Margeret I. This would make Mosely the Prime Minister and the King, which is impossible under the current Constitutional Rules. Mosely is expected to blatantly change them, however. He has shown skill at making great changes very quickly. Appaerntly the vast majority of Britons support him, and his Fascist Government.
The conseqeunces for Canada might be worse, though. Canadians are very non-Fascist, and are quite opposed to it, actually. Generally, they are quite to the left of the political spectrum, and the UK was too, which is why so many Canadians are shocked at how popular this new fanatical Fascist leader is in the UK. The other issue is if Mosely becomes the King of the UK, and of the British Commonwealth. Canadians detest, as in with a passion, Mosely. If he became King of Canada, even ceremonially, we might se full-fledged rioting unles Canada declares total Independence. With Mosely getting married to the Queen soon, that is going to happen, and then Diefenbacker will be between a rock and a hard place.
The UK has also threatened war if Canada declares total Independence, and Canadians seem willing to do fight a War of Independence.
Interestingly, the Conservative Party, typically the most pro-British, has made quite a flip-flop, and is now quite opposed to Mosely. Apparently they have realized that Canadians feel that Mosely is something akin to Satan, and supporting him is the last thing they want to do. In fact, the Liberals are the ones that seem most pro-British, which makes things seem dire for Canada-UK relations.
Progressives propose total Independence!
It had to happen from someone. And it was the Progressive who initiated. They are officially calling upon the Government of Canada to declare "total, full, and complete Independence from the Tyrannical Fascist State that is the United Kingdom". To this end, they have initiated the procedures to Amend the Canadian Constitution. This brings about a major crisis to Diefenbacker. The Conservatives and the Communists, oddly enough, have both jumped on the bandwagon, and are "fully and totally supporting the progressive party in their push for a truly Independent Canada".
Now, it is time for the Liberal Party, the party with the most seats to make up its mind. Diefenbacker has tried to be concialatory. He has tried, to his credit, to improve Canada-UK relations. But, he now faces a major crisis. Most of his party, the Liberals, support the measure, which means it might pass, and the process to Amend the Canadian Constitution to make Canada totally Independent of the UK could be started, as early as next week. The majority of Canadians support it, rather then "bow down to Mosely". The majority of MPs favour it. The Provincial Premiers are lined up, "ready and waiting" to sign the Bill.
Now everthing rests on Diefenbacker. What will he do? What can he do? Stay tuned to fine out.
