iHeart came preloaded on my portable, so I have been using it. The interface is driving me nuts. I can only get about one song in three that I like, and I can't cue a song ever. The like/dislike options have no noticable effect.

Is there a fully free app that does a better job and has a decent selection?

spotify?

Just make playlists. If you want more control premium cuts out the ads and allows you to make on-demand song selection.

I made a playlist with all the 50s-early 60s blues musicians I like and that's pretty much all I listen to these days.

Spotify ads are horrible, it's always the same nonsense and it's always 30% louder than the actual songs. So I'm sitting there chillin out to Boards of Canada when BLAM some idiot comes on singing about cheerleaders. beep boop blap. I'm out of my zone. Thanks a lot, spotify.

Commercials are a problem. I gave up broadcast TV to avoid commercials. There are a gazillion ways to get live radio, but they all come with interruptions. Yuck.
