I don't see how editing a map is any different than regenerating until you get what you want, except one is very time consuming and the other isn't.

Unless you edit the map so much that you could never reasonably expect to get one like it regardless of how many times you regen, I agree 100%

But back on topic. It is weird to get late in the game and still not have a good chunk of the map.

And a quick quest for the experts. In a AW game is WW lightened up a touch. I'm not seeing as bad of hit as I do in normal games. But since this is a small sample, I thought I'd ask.

Conquered Portugal, then England, then Ethiopia. I held the chokepoint with the Ottoman empire until the end, never could get past there (Did not try either). Used Ottoman for my espionage economy.
Peter had reduced Genghis to a 3-tile island took me until the 1800s to find him.

No chance for me to sincerely play this game yet, GM-144 and life taking too much time, I need to get some advice from Erik Cartman again on how important it is to do something "that really matters" (Joke upon the WoW episode of Southpark in which the kids mutate to pro-gamers sitting in a celar doing nothing but killing lvl1 animals to beat a player that has reached a level so high that he can kill the admins and who killed each of them while questing, and questing ofc. is the goal of an MMO (not) ) .
